"Good location for walking to pubs, restaurants and open air market. Busy road in front so a bit noisy on front side. Hairdryer needs replacing. Nice simple restaurant for eating in."

"Really enjoyed it at the Rutland , booked a deluxe four poster which was so lovely ,worth every penny ! Breakfast Cooked to order , and served to you , none of the awful buffet type that seems to be the norm now . Delightful coffee shop also . Definitely the place to stay if visiting Bakewell , we will be back !"

"We went with friends. Had a great time in buxton. The hotel is very grand looking. Love the oldie worldie look. Breakfast was good. If I had one thing to say I would say the bedroom was slightly tired looking. But we was hardly in it, but if we were staying longer I would have liked it a bit better. Pretty basic. But overall we would definitely stay here again. Great location. "

"Good location for walks. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was great. Towels were fluffy. Shower was always hot. Food was excellent but choice was too limited especially as the 2 mains I wanted were not available both nights we stayed. "
