Humshaugh House. Keys to the Past Web Site: Humshaugh House was once known as the Manor House and was built in the early 18th century. However, there are traces of an older structure inside, especially the 1.2m thick central wall. This may be the remains of a 17th century bastle There are also traces of an earlier building in the garden wall.

Stayed over New Year and decided to stay and extra night as we felt so comfortable as staff and food were good. Room was a little small for a 'premium ' but adequate. Lovely quite place to stay
This is a lovely quiet place to stay, away from any disturbances. The welcome homemade lemon drizzle cake was very welcome and a nice touch. Beautiful scenery during the day and very dark skies at night for stargazing
