"This ended up being a great spot to stop as a solo traveler heading from Southern to Northern California on the I-5. It's about 10 minutes from the 5, but a very clean, solid property. It was my luck that there was a huge group that arrived 1 minute before me, but the receptionist took care of them and i only waited a few. She answered all my questions and took care of a few extras later in the evening (tire service in town, TV issues). The room was great: clean, quite soundproof (just distant sounds of doors closing), nice decor, quality toiletries, pretty comfy bed. The breakfast is nice: juices, eggs, sausage patties, Oats, cereals, biscuits & gravy-- all ready at 5:30 to help all of us that have to get on the road. even if things were a bit tepid, still tasty. The gym was empty and nicely equipped but the cleaning wipes were dried. I'd say a great place to stop in Coalinga--a 3-star stopover done right!"
