I was studying the capital Urnes stave church and could just take the little ferry across the field to get there. The old world charm of the garden with the summer house, the lovely appointed dining room and salon, and the charming village climbing up the hill behind the hotel made the stay delightful. If the dollar weren’t so weak, it would be more affordable!"

"This was an historic hotel in a beautiful UNESCO town. The drive to the hotel was relatively easy from the Bergen airport. We had two rooms in the older building. The rooms were large and lovely with small sitting areas. The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful."
