The location was great and an easy walk downhill to get into the old town. Staff was delightful, breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and quiet. Would highly recommend!

The reception staff Nina and Bronco were exceptionally good to us throughout our entire stay. Their dining recommendations were perfect and they even walked us to the path that leads to the best beach. Nina could not do enough for us was so personable and made us feel at home. Our breakfast buffet was delicious each day and Anna made sure everything was perfect. Great cappuccinos ! Our room was clean and modern with comfortable beds. 10 out of 10 for Hotel Teranea!

1 mile from port. Easy walk. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Super comfy beds and AC. Super clean. Breakfast was great. Hotels down the hill are twice the price if not more. Beaches easily accessible. If you want beachfront properties this isnt your place.

We checked in the room and the toilet seat was dirty with stains and the rubbish bin in the toilet was full. We escalated this to the reception and they cleaned it right away but it was surprising. The room is small but modern. The breakfast is healthy. They offer a taxi service for a reduced price to town; they said to call a number to book this taxi, twice we called on two nights and nobody picked up. If you book the taxi in advance at reception it’s better. The staff are friendly. At 8am there was a very loud noise in our room, I think it’s the room next door using the shower, not good sound isolation

Lovely modern hotel.

Lovely hotel, not far from hvar old town, very modern apartments. Breakfast was disappointing, very basic continental. Staff very kind and helpful.

Great apartments, out of town but the staff were able to organise taxis. Love the fact your fridge is full and lots of snacks available in apartment, but all really reasonable prices similar to supermarkets prices

Positives and negatives. The room was great, plenty of room and amenities for our family of 4. Great outdoor space. Friendly and accommodating staff. Things I wish I knew: no restaurant onsite, only lobby area breakfast. No ‘deli’ or other food options available onsite, although indicated on the property details. Cooking meals is easy to do in the room. Hotel is noted as ‘12 minute walk’ from the port. It is almost a mile (1.6km) and uphill. Located in a residential area, little to do around the property. Have to travel back and forth from town via taxi or hotel van. Each way is €20.

The rooms are huge and very comfortable. There were tons of mosquitos in our room and I got quite a few bites. When I mentioned this to the front desk as it seemed like they were somehow getting inside because I would kill all of them and more would appear, they said “well what do you expect we are next to the ocean.” While I understand it might be hard to prevent mosquitos so close to the water, I was a little thrown back by the tone and delivery of the response I got.

We took a chance on a last-minute booking, and I have never been so pleased to walk into a hotel. From the staff to the accommodations, everything was absolutely top-notch. There was a 24 hour shuttle available for us, which was so nice when going out to dine and explore Hvar. The staff were also lovely and accommodating. They made you feel like you were more than welcome and did everything they could to make your stay as perfect as it could be. The size of the apartment was so large and so beautiful that the children of which there were four could, play hide and seek multiple times over and over. The quality of the room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The mini bar was filled with full-size snacks and drinks And the prices were not much more than just buying it at the grocery store. We had some hours to kill in between our checkout time and our ferry time , They graciously let the children swim and we were able to hang out in their air-conditioned breakfast area until we wanted to leave. Bravo Teranea We will be back Dianea and Dolly ❤️

Hotels.com / Expedia needs to get their act together. They made me pay for a Penthouse as well as room with a partial sea view and I got neither the Penthouse nor the room with a view. The actual hotel said that their system showed no reference of the booking of that class even though I ended up paying a super high premium for it. On top of it, the air conditioning in the room was not working at all. The air conditioners were in but were not cooling the rooms. I better get a full refund for my stay as it was miserable, hot and sweaty.

Excellent for family travel

We stayed at the hotel for three days as a family of four, with children ages 8 and 7. The unit was comfortable and high end. The website doesn't picture the bathrooms, but they were excellent as well - I love a good waterfall shower head! The real star of the stay was the service. Marija went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable, arranged for tours, walked us to the tour operator meeting points to make sure we didn't get lost, and arranged for babysitters for the kids so my husband and I could go off on our own. As we were checking out, the bartender told us to call him if we had any issues at our next stop in Croatia. Phillip and Helena were also exceptionally nice. A few notes if you are traveling with kids: - There were a few groups of 20 somethings staying at the hotel at the same time as us, but it wasn't an issue. We stayed in B1 and I would recommend a unit closer to reception as it seemed quieter on our side of the hotel. - The units were incredibly soundproof and quiet hours at 11 pm were strictly enforced. Maria also checked in to ensure that noise wasn't an issue each morning. - The pools are six feet deep, so bring floats for children if they are not strong swimmers. - There is only a bar at the hotel (no food), however there is a carry out place and grocery store within easy walking distance of the hotel. - The location is sufficiently far enough from downtown Hvar that it is easy to get to, but also perfect for a family.
