"I booked a Classic room and was presented with a dark, dirty room with tattered pillowcases, tired bedding, a distinctly broken bedside telephone, a lighting fixture hanging by its electrical cord above the bed, and a generally depressing ambiance. I complained and was upgraded to the Diamond Suite which was marginally better but came with a broken tv remote control and no bathroom towels. "I have stayed here several time when I visit Lagos, good selection of food, although minimal western dishes, the ones they have are well prepared. Rooms are spacious and clean with large bathtubs. The staff are the best part. Very friendly and helpful. You can walk around the markets outside the hotel as well. "
