"Authentic italian hotel, old fashioned decor but adds to its charm. Very clean, friendly welcoming staff. Not as difficult to reach as some reviews had stated, no5 bus from port to Moronti and follow the board walk down the beach about 10mins. May have to walk through the sand for part of it, so may not be for everyone but absolutely stunning location, paradise for sea lovers! Choice of beach bars and restaurants along the beach. "

"Villa Tara is an exceptional accommodation; a historic building with character and unique charm. Very beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature. Very quiet location, yet well developed. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. The perfect place to relax and get to know Succhivo, Sant Angelo, Panza and Forio. "Accueil super chaleureux de Salvatore et sa fille. Très à l’écoute et toujours arrangeants. Le personnel est adorable. La vue depuis la terrasse où se trouve le restaurant est sublime et l’établissement dispose d’un jaccuzi et d’une piscine. Nous avions demandé une chambre familiale pour passer une nuit avec nos filles et la chambre était suffisamment spacieuse (avec une grande terrasse) pour qu’on ne se gêne pas. "Really nice place, clean and quiet. Natalina and her daughter were super helpful in terms of getting around the island. Did a lot of walking, the natural hot springs were maybe a 15 minute walk and the next town a little further but the island is gorgeous! "

"Hotel and beach are very relaxing and the staff is very nice. To get around its either up and down very big hills or you have to call down for a golf cart to go into town. We thought it was a little more walkable than it is. If you are looking for a quiet getaway- this place would be perfect. "

"This place really impressed us. The hotel is meticulously maintained and so quaint, with old fashioned charm and detail. The staff are in black tie, with vests and double brested suit jackets. Feels like the Casablanca movie. The small, simple things are done so well, while it may also be the best whisky sour I've ever tasted. Breakfast was a feast, fresh and plentiful, while dining options outside of the hotel were sparse, the quality and price was a pleasant surprise. Excellent. Exploring was easy, by taxi, rental car (not for everyone), bus and water taxi options (recommended). We had such a great stay. The one small issue we encountered was the size of the shower. It was so tiny. Washing hair was a difficult process, but there are showers in the spa area to use or even the Hair Spa which offered a range of haidressing services. The complimentary mud mask treatment was a great touch and the massage therapists did a great job too. Book in amd make use of the full facility."

"Nice stay. We went out of season so island and hotel very quiet. Lovely service from B&B owner. Booked a family room with breakfast but ended up with two rooms...not an issue for us. No breakfast being served either, again not an issue as bakery just up the road. It was our of season so I think these were more of a miscommunication with hotels.com. Great location for Barano beach, easy to reach using no 5 bus from main bus station from ischia port."

Beautiful views and that’s about it.

"Although the hotel was beautifully located overlooking the bay with stunning vistas, there was no hot water , air conditioning or working heating and the beds were very hard and outdated. Pillows were old and clumpy and during the rain the room and the hallway were inundated by rain water. No TV"

"Your picture of the property is very misleading. There is no beach it’s been eroded over the years. The sea is very rough. Impossible to swim in it there is over a 1 mile walk from dry land where the bus stops. The walk is treacherous with lots of rocks and rough sea that reaches your knees I have never experienced such a terrifying example of a route to a hotel in my life Your picture is misleading there is no beach and I have pictures ti prove it. For two week there were thunder storms a raging sea pounding at the walls each night. A nearby property collapsed into the sea a few years ago and the family died. I felt very scared to stay in the hotel and could not wait to leave. It’s a 1970 decor hotel. It was a horrendous experience. Manager sweeps dirt from each day into the sea.cleaner also . "

A great stay in every way

"Casa Antonia was perfect for our holiday in Ischia. Wonderful view from our balcony. Breakfast on the patio was excellent - a great selection including delicious home made cake, eggs from the family's own hens. A small, friendly and relaxed, family-run hotel a short (steep) walk to Moranti beach. Our room was comfortable, spotless and spacious and the relaxing sun terrace was an added bonus. "
