Place on a good location, close to the downtown, fair for the price.I find, the town stores and most of the places are closed between Monday to Wednesday, so it’s quiet and not much to do. I enjoy the San Jacinto park for a good relaxing walk, good places to eat near by, people very friendly. definitely come and join Idywill.

The Bunkhouse is an exceptional property that is within walking distance to downtown Idyllwild. Microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator,silverware and dinnerware all in room and we found very useful. Beautiful views and close to some great hiking. Raj and the gentleman who was married and from LA, who checked me in. Made everything so simple and we so friendly and welcoming. Mike

I do really love staying here. Some things might not work but the location and cabin feel is the best. The owners are so nice. Side note, on the check in instructions it says breakfast is only delivered at weekends which was fine as we are up and out early.

Staff is nice, place is super easy to find. Right up the street from the main part of town. Nice view. It’s got everything you need, pretty bare bone but like I said, everything you’ll need. Bed’s old and not very comfy but you’re not living there for the rest of your life so it’s good enough. Overall, great place for the location. You’re close to everything.

Amazing spot! The view from the balcony can be a bit limited because of the beautiful trees. The locations is amazing, though. It is only two minutes drive to the area with the restaurants. The delivered breakfast in cute baskets (8.30-9.00 am). The Sunday one was late for about 35 minutes. Other than that, it was worth the experience.

Sofa bed mattress had huge yellow marks all over, spots of blood, main bedroom sheets had hair all over, Black mold in the bathroom next to the bathtub, spider webs all over the place, kitchen, only two coffee cups, four plates all mix matched, toilet seat cover was missing, broken blinds by kitchen sink, no paper towel, Location is beautiful, cabin's layout is really cute but when it gets to cleaning standard even one star is too much.

First, let me say that I am a Hiker and the purpose in this little cabin was to have a place to come up and rest before starting a hike first thing in the morning. As I was coming up on Friday, there was no breakfast, which is fine it wasn’t expected nor did I want it. They even called me ahead of time to let me know that even though it is on the Expedia advertisement that is not the case on a Friday morning. Secondly, as a Hiker l, literally staying in a place called the bunkhouse, I did not expect five star accommodations. My son and I were coming up so I wanted two Beds and a restful night sleep. We got that and a little bit more, including a cold refrigerator and microwave, which was nice as the town was all but closed with one grocery store to get some provisions and have a light meal before going to bed for the morning. The shower was small, but it’s literally a bunkhouse and we were hiking the next day. I know there were a lot of reviews about how thin the walls are, but we slept just fine and didn’t have to use the earplugs provided, and I have to tell you that I usually wake up pretty easily. There was an air-conditioning unit for us to turn on when we got there (thank God because my son likes to sleep in Antarctica). Overall, it was worth the money that we paid and I would definitely come again before taking on my next hike, hopefully to San Jacinto. For those wanting a no frills stop from the PCT this is an ideal little place for you as well.

This was a fun if somewhat primitive facility. The room and everything in it is quite miniature: tiny fridge, microwave, one cup coffee maker, etc. lighting was quite dim- bring your book light! Balcony needs to be sanded and painted. But the bed and pillows were very comfy. And the price was right. Breakfast is included only on weekends.
