Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto

"Delightful property. Room was a good size with an excellent shower. Beds were comfy and room was quiet. Bakery on the main floor made all sorts of delectable delights. We had fried egg sandwiches on fresh baguettes on the first and last mornings. Rooftop bar was also a nice place to spend time and have a couple of beverages and very delicious vegan tacos made with falafel croquettes. It's far enough away from the train station that I would recommend a taxi (about 1600 yen on a weeknight arrival, but return trip was about 2000 on a saturday morning - don't know why there was a difference, but not unreasonable either way). Otherwise, the location is good for exploring all the wonders of Kyoto. Great place to spend some time."

"Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were helpful if you asked for something but otherwise didn’t really interact or greet you. Staff did not know as much English as I would have expected a hotel to have."

"Very well presented hotel attached to a metro station, so good transport options. The room was a good size, clean and the air conditioning and heating worked well. There was a good range of items at breakfast. It did get very busy at breakfast at later times; staff tried hard to keep everything topped-up, but there could be things missing. Another coffee machine or keeping the filter coffee topped-up would be useful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"The property was conveniently located near public transportation and within walking distance of many sightseeing attractions. However, I was disappointed by all the extra charges, including fees for the washer and dryer and access to the gym. There was also no iron available in the room. With so many basic amenities costing extra, the stay felt less relaxing and didn’t really give me the vacation experience I expected, especially in such a tourist-friendly location."

"Wonderful stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka. The location was excellent, but what truly stood out was Sho at the concierge desk. He was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. His service made my experience in Osaka even better. Sho is a true asset to the hotel"

"Amazing hotel!!! We stayed four nights and it was the best hotel of our trip to Japan! The location and all the amenities were fantastic : the incredible breakfast, the happy hour with free wine, drinks and food. It really feels like a luxurious hotel. The only con is the size of the room but it shouldn't stop you from choosing this hotel. The bed is very comfortable and the room is very beautiful. I would go back without thinking."
