"I think cleaners forgotten to clean up and change towels for the room given. But owner at reception was very kind and helpful and spoke very good English. Place is nice with good scenery and nice amenities "
"Excellent setting - stunning views all around the apartments! Lovely big spacious 2 bedroom apartment - only downside was no air con during a heatwave! Had to ask to borrow 2 fans which didn’t really do much. Couldn’t leave the windows opened as we tried one night and got bitten to death by mosquitos!! Was unbearably hot but understand the apartments were built for the snow season! Otherwise, excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. "
"One of the worst travel experiences we've ever had - completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
By looking at other people's reviews, it appears that we are not the only travelers to have our booking cancelled by Hotel Vacanceole without notice. Concerned by an email we received, we called our travel agent twice to confirm that our booking was still valid - and were reassured both times that the Hotel said the room was still available.
After reaching the hotel, we arrived only to find out our room had been given away. No notice, no explanation, and no effort to make things right. There is no person attending the “reception desk” – this is not a hotel.
To make matters worse, when we tried to call the company’s central reservations line, they said that they "don’t speak English” and hung up on us. Unacceptable behavior from any hospitality provider, let alone in the tourism industry.
This experience was not only a major disruption to our trip, but also a glaring example of how not to treat guests. We strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this property or company.
There are better options for real hotels directly across the street."
"The hotel is located on a side road in a modest size village. Very little traffic passes so it's not likely to attract passing trade but does mean it's very quiet with no vehicle noise in the rooms. The staff speak good English so communication isn't a problem. The room has a balcony with views of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast costs extra but is of high quality. The only issue is the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty but the shower gel provided an alternative."
If you're looking for something a little different than the traditional hotel experience, a stay at a bed and breakfast might be the perfect option for your vacation.
Why choose a B&B over a traditional hotel room?
With attentive service, opportunities to meet guests from other places, and of course a scrumptious breakfast, B&Bs provide a one-of-a-kind environment.
