"Our first day….. The first few hours were wonderful, but st 9:00 pm that night Pawhuska would be getting one of the worst storms in years. The first wave of thunder, relentless rain and lightening like i have never seen before, the night sky was continuously flashes of white, the power flickered on and off and then just off. When it passed we went to bed in the dark, I am glad i packed a small flashlight, it was going to come in handy. We were awakened again at midnight. This time it was 10 times worse. Our window was facing west, the direction from where the storm was coming. The noise was so loud, the rain was pelting on our window, had there been hail it would have come through the window. It sounded like a freight train was nearby, the sound was deafening.We heard trees cracking and snapping nearby. At this time the air conditioning had been off for 3 , needless to say it was hot. The storm finally passed and when i looked at radar nothing else was coming. No A/C, no coffee ( except at the casino) no hot water for showers. The house was not prepared for a storm. No way to cook, Pawhuska was devastated. All the next day we looked for places to eat that were open, we had to drive 1 hour away for breakfast. Again still no power, we were there Tues-Thursday. From what i heard power to our house didn’t come on until Sunday. No ice, no showers, no cooking, no air conditioning. The owner when contacted, agreed to 1 night refund. Not the best reunion with your 90 yr old parent"

"The house was very comfortable for our overnight trip to Pawhuska. The host was very helpful and quick to answer questions. Overall we were all very happy with our stay."

"Ik some people complained about cigarette smoke and yes in lobby you can smell it but not in our room. Room was very clean and had usb ports as well as a safe and nice fridge. Bathroom was also very clean. Now this hotel is connected to the casino and here’s a little secret, go to casino desk and join their club (free) and you get $20 in free play, I won $40 and wife won $21 and we went to bed winners lol. No complaints, restaurant was great but it’s part of casino and smoke smell is present but all in all smoke was not horrible. Would definitely stay again. We were in town to see the “Merc” from the pioneer woman. "
