Ocean Spray is the place to stay if you are looking for escape from the tourist area of the island. You will need a car if staying at this location or take the bus which is what we did. The bus was very easy to navigate once the staff explained how to ride it and we used the bus every day. There is a small grocery store up the road a short walk for any essentials needed. We stayed 3 nights on our first trip to Barbados. The hotel is lovely and the room was very comfortable. The staff was amazing - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and would have stayed longer, but we booked at the last minute and they were completely booked. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. We will be back someday!

The Abidah was a wonderful getaway for me. I traveled solo and wanted absolute peace and quiet and it provided that. The staff were very friendly, the drinks were great and the food was good. My only suggestion is more variety of food during the week. Also, have some snacks available if someone wants a snack in between meals.

Beautiful, clean hotel located on a perfect stretch of sandy beach. But what really made the difference was the friendliness of the entire staff. The restaurant and bar staff always extend a pleasant greeting and you will get to know them. The front desk helped me arrange tours of the island. They make you feel welcome at their hotel and glad you picked Barbados. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and I definitely would stay there again.

We spent a week in this wonderful resort and loved Everything. Staff was excellent and very accommodating, pleasant in every possible way. Location was great, only 5 miles from the airport. Highly recommend for couples and families! We will definitely go back there soon! Thank you Sea Breeze!

Great location, always clean and safe, pleasant staff, great beach, walking distance to everything you need. The BEST restaurant in Barbados is a few steps away, CHAMPERS! My family and myself are regulars here. The on site restaurant is very good too.

From the airport pickup to Tameka setting me up in a Fantastic room that has everything one could need, from Ricardo being the utmost professional gentleman and best security to make me feel safe secure and comfortable.. it's a gem, it's quiet & peaceful and if your looking for the noise & crowds Just walk down to the gap, market and bus stops near & it's really a perfect spot to rest, relax, eat, swim in blue waters. This was by far the best vacation I have ever been on (which has been quiet a few). The resort was 15 minutes from the airport, it was stunning with amazing views of the ocean, beach was clean, the staff was extremely accommodating and everyone seemed happy to be there and to help you. A wonderful old, colonial era hotel right on the water. Tons of history, amazing service, and a great restaurant right on site. Excellent getaway if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, without many distractions.

If you are trying to decide between the Marriott properties- this is definitely the best (more to open soon though). The beach is beautiful and there is great snorkeling if you follow the rope on the left side over the reef. We stayed in a split ocean view - incredible view. This was my first trip to Barbados. I selected this hotel specifically for the design, decor and aesthetics.... and yes the hotel is as beautiful and vybesy as pictured. Like you walk up the stairs or pull your suitcase up the ramp and you enter this vibrant place of paradise. From the moment we checked in (on our honeymoon) until we left 6 days later our experience was awesome. The general manager took the time to learn our name, greet us upon arrival and again as we left. Fellow guests were all friendly. My rental car's battery died and they took care of everything while we were off playing golf. The food, especially daily breakfast, was fabulous. All needs were anticipated without request necessary. All-in-all, a great trip (I highly recommend Barbados as well).

Staff were friendly and very kind. The facilities were kept well. They even prepared the Guest Lounge for in case we needed a place to stay after the official check out.
