"This historically significant property is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the midst of Colombo. The restaurant is also wonderful, Such a surprise as we found it randomly and had no idea that it was the former prime minister's house and that Charles and Camilla had stayed there. Our room next to the beautiful courtyard pool had a four poster and a private terrace and a huge gorgeous modern bathroom. It is an old house but the decor is v. cool! So much so that they have a chain of shops that the interior designer started. We couldn't resist buying some mementos there. Loved our short stay and so went back on our way home also. The staff are wonderful. The massive fruitbats - if you're lucky enough to see them fly over the pool at night - are wondrous!!! We felt honoured to have stayed there."

"It's an excellent place for your budget. My stay in the hotel was great. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was great and had a variety. The room is clean and well-maintained. The only down review is the carpark, which has limited availability and is on a first come, first serve basis."

"It’s not a big property, it has some height but not too much wide. But it’s well managed and have good view too. Food quality is better we tried their evening snack platter and that was awesome. Room space is quite decent and have all the necessary stuff. Duty manager and staff is very polite and helpful. Location was it’s good as well, one mall and street food market is near."

"Lovely location and we enjoying visiting this beautiful colonial beach hotel however we were charged twice for drinks consumed in the lobby and moved to the terrace area despite explaining to the staff at the time and showing my receipts. Be careful and double check your statements as they take your bank card and disappear with it. They don’t need a pin or a signature to take money out. Shocking! "
