"My family and I came to town for a wedding and chose to stay at the Guin House. Excellent location, had everything you could have wanted, and felt like walking into your great grandparents. We enjoyed our stay and the location. My only complaints are the house is in dire need of a deep clean. Dirt, leaves, sticks, and cobwebs were everywhere. Nails need to be tended to on the deck. "This was a nice, mostly clean, well appointed, secluded property. Although most of the property was very clean and comfortable, one of the guest bedrooms had someone's dirty socks and some dead bugs in it so I assumed it had not been cleaned. Check-in was not as smooth as I'm used to at VRBOs. I received no check in instructions, so called the host 5 minutes before check in time and she seemed bit overwhelmed. "Very nice personal touches. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay very nice. It was my Birthday weekend and they even bought me a gift. They had homemade baked muffins that were so delicious. We felt right at home. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the city but, to be conveniently located to the nearby towns. "Just what I needed! Wish I came sooner when it was cooler for more hiking but weather was still wonderful. Saw the Ring of Fire Totality eclipse on that Monday 4/8/24.
