"The place looked quite ominous and derelict with poor signage. There were signs asking for car parking payment, although parking costs were included in the accommodation package. Reception staff did nothing to help clarify this, indeed adding to this confusion for a short while. The accommodation was not as described. Which is really my main gripe. "We loved staying at the Leslie Castle. John & Nicole were great. We came by train and then planned to go by Uber to the Castle and found the one driver was on holiday. John & Nicole were so gracious to come and pick us up. Food was great. Nicole does a history of the castle after dinner each night which was so enjoyable and a tour of the castle. Our room was huge and we loved every minute of it. We walked to the little Hamlet of Leslie and met some of the locals. The weather was great and we just enjoyed ourselves so much. I know that you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a "Castle Experience"!"

"We booked executive rooms which where quite disappointing, water was 1 bottle poured from a tap and not even refrigerated, there was limited choice of tea bags and not even a biscuit to go with it, food in resturant for dinner was under cooked and had to be sent back, second one wasnt much better, then had bad stomach next day, internet in 1 of the rooms kept cutting out as did TV, for price paid (not cheap) expected much better quality. Beds are comfortable, pillows are great, spa was lovely and staff where exceptional expecially two women on reception. Although we would not return as have stayed in better hotels for less money it is a comfortable hotel and the staff make it."
