You will love The Lochen House because of location and Yes we are pet friendly! We are close to numerous activities and great restaurants, located on 16 acre Private Lake with a boat for you to use, right off of US 31, just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. We have a dock with a small boat for you to use along with a Screened in Gazebo down by the lake. Inside Gas Fired Fire Place

Interlochen Arts Academy, 5 minutes away!

#1 Location, located right off of US 31 easy on and off highway, 5 minutes to the World renowned Interlochen Arts Academy, 14 miles to Traverse City, 26 miles to the Sleeping Bears Dunes National Park, 17 miles to Crystal Mountain, 3 miles to the Blue Bridge Events Center, 1/2 mile to Interlochen Golf course, 30 miles to The Homestead. And is located just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen.

#2 Located on a privately owned lake, with a row boat for your use!

#3 A Gazebo with screens down by the lake to hang out at.

#4 The unit is Air conditioned for those warm summer days.

#5 The deck is great since it allows you to enjoy the best days of summer outside and grill to your heart's delight with the GRILL found there!

Here are 3 things to consider before renting.

#1 No Parties are permitted in our house or property at all times during your stay.

#2 Our house is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, there is no bathtub we have a stand up shower, there is no dishwasher, located right off of US 31, potenial for road noise, one step up to enter property.

#3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay.
Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place!

The Lochen House is located in Interlochen right off US 31 on Lost Lake a 16 acre lake, the center point of activities in the Traverse region. We can accommodate 6 GUESTS.

The Lochen House features a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials such as microwave, pots & pans, coffee maker,toaster, blender, slow cooker and your basic kitchen items to cook a nice meal.
This is a 2 bedroom unit with a queen size bed's, the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, 50” Smart TV, Netflix, also has Ultra fast 5G WIFI . The bathroom has a stand up shower, hair dryer, iron & board and a washer & dryer to take care of your laundry needs.
This house has a private deck and also has a patio table / chairs & outside grill so that you can truly enjoy those long summer days.

The house was very clean. The sauna and hot tub were great, the dome is cool! Literally hanging out in the swamp/pomd! The hosts have made great use of every inch of this space, a cool find.

Great little cabin! Very clean, updated, cozy hot tub, nice dome to sit and relax down by the pond. Would definitely recommend for a family, couple of friends. Close to many golf courses and places to eat. TC is only 15 minutes away

We celebrated a 50th birthday at this perfect property that met our need for relaxation yet close to activities and dining. The Lochen House provided everything needed and then some with a hot tub, fireplace and the coolest igloo over the water. Thank you for being a fabulous host, Jeff!

Perfect for our needs

We stayed here to attend the Interlochen Academy alumni weekend. This place is very convenient and beautifully situated. Had we needed to stay longer, there were many amenities that we would have enjoyed. We would definitely stay here another time.

Peaceful retreat with modern amenities

We loved our stay at the Lochen House! This was a great location for us to visit our adult children working at Interlochen. Everything was clean and there was a hot tub, 3 outdoor seating areas and best of all a peaceful lake with a dock and rowboat.

Birthday celebration stay

My family(4 adults) stayed at the property recently to celebrate a birthday up north. Jeff quick to answer any questions I had and check in/out was easy. The property did not disappoint. The dome out near the water and the hot tub made for a very fun experience. The house was clean and comfortable. Very nice stay.

Nice place, good location

This is a nice, clean, well-appointed little 2 bedroom with a small lake at the back of the property. We saw lots of deer and birds and there is a great place for breakfast, Dilbert's, just down the road. It was just an overnight stop for us, but it would be nice to stay longer and fish or just hangout at the water.

Perfect quiet getaway, close to trails, water and TC

This is a perfect spot for a couple or small family - we enjoyed having the private dock and rowboat, and the THREE separate deck sitting areas! Jeff was a great host and left a lot of helpful information for us when we arrived. A/C and WiFi worked great. Great location, close to lakes and trails and only 15min drive into TC.

We didn't arrive until just before dark but was able to walk to the pond and gather fallen sticks for a fire. Quaint property provides a nice variety of things to do onsite. Very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes which is what attracted us. Suggestions for pizza and breakfast were on point. We had great food in the area.

Great location close to Interlochen's concert venue

We booked this cottage because of it's proximity to the theater at Interlochen. It was perfect, about 10 minutes away. The cottage itself was one of the cleanest rentals we have been to. Nice view of the water from the kitchen and back patio. I was a little worried about the noise from US31, but inside you couldn't hear it at all. We slept great! I would definitely stay again.

Great little place!

Great place! Had everything we needed. You can tell the owners care about their rental and their guests. House was recently remodeled along with new extensive landscaping outside. It looked great. Hot tub was a surprise also. Private pond was great and the fish were biting all afternoon. My son loved it.

Vacation stay

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The description was accurate, it was clean and the contact with property MGR was easy and efficient. Property is close to the road and and a business which is the only negative. It was perfect for what we needed, a home base so that did not bother us at all. We visited Sleeping Bear and TC and both were easy drives. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would rent again.
