"I visited Barceló Isla Canela for 5 nights on my own as a summer break while my children were away. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was fresh and there was a massive selection of foods. The pool area was well maintained and the staff very friendly. I used the gym daily and although it is small it was well enough equipped for a hotel gym and everything was very new. It’s somewhere I would love to return to with my two children, there was a great family...

"Rental of this property in the winter season has some issues but overall, it met our needs. After a very long drive, we arrived at 4 am. We were unable to check in until later in the morning. Once we checked in at the hotel next door, getting into the apartment was a challenge. You need to access through a side gate, find the elevator in the dark, maneuver around obstacles in the dark before getting to the apartment. The front access / lobby is closed this time of year and all the furniture...
