"The property was alright but our fan stopped working on the third night, the toilet seat threatened to come off & on the last morning there was no running water in our room. The hotel restaurant’s service was REALLY slow & the drinks were so full of ice there was very little to drink. On the upside the property was fine if you consider where you are & understand the unique challenges they face on this island with power, cell phone coverage & water. The cell phones went down for the entire island on the 3rd day & though the internet came back up later the cell phones did not. Having said all that we still very much enjoyed our stay. I will take Holbox any day over Cancun or Isla Mujeres. . . The location of this hotel is good if you don’t mind staying in the thick of things. We normally don’t choose that but we were here less than a week & had already been to the island a few months prior so we knew what we wanted to do. The young man Carlos working the front desk was a wonder to behold. A very nice young man & very helpful. We would consider staying here again under the right circumstances. It is convenient being right on the beach with a shower strategically placed so you can wash your feet or water shoes before heading up to your room. We didn’t use the pool but I dipped my foot in it & found it to be as warm as the ocean. . ."
