Island vibe

Wonderful getaway in the heart of Islamorada!

This was a wonderful place to call home while visiting the beautiful Florida Keys. Our winter Getaway in the Keys!

This was our first time visiting the keys and we found the perfect place. It was everything and more than described and offered a central place to explore the Florida Keys. Our host was very good at keeping us informed and answer questions throughout the week. The bungalow was perfect inside and out along with an amazing pool just steps from our door.

Cute bungalow!

Perfect rental for a couple or small family with all the amenities of a hotel -nice heated pool, private hot tub, great backyard and tiki bar setup, bikes and more! Friendly and attentive hosts and easy check in process. Property is professionally cleaned and linens and furniture were spotless. We loved the keys decor! Would absolutely return.

Outdoor Paradise

With a tiki bar, hammock, pool access, and hot tub, we spent most of our time enjoying the sunny weather. The place was super clean, very comfortable and a perfect March get-away for us. Captain Rob was attentive and offered top-notch local recommendations. Highly recommend! We had our two young-adult sons with us and we were comfortable, but we were at capacity.

Wonderful Getaway with College Kids

We had a great time at The Castaway! Perfect spot to enjoy Islamorada! Regina and Rob were the most gracious hosts - we took all their recommendations and all were perfect! We chartered a deep sea fishing trip on the Sea Horse with Captain Rick and took our catch to Lazy Days to be prepared. Poppa Joes and Mangrove Mike’s were amazing too!

Paradise in Islamorada

Best Weekend Getaway

Property was beautiful and bungalow super comfy and clean. Family fun

My son lives in Colorado and my daughter in St Louis. We met to spend a fun, relaxing time together. We loved your place. It was quiet and secluded. The place was awesome. We loved the private tiki bar with a big screen tv, grill, outside fridge, wine fridge and firepit. The location was perfect.

Fantastic Bungalow!! and Close to Everything!

Our first time to Florida Keys was a so much fun!! The Castaway bungalow was perfect for 4 adults & 2yo. Very clean with a new outdoor Tiki space & grill. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen & living area, easy access to the fun stuff. Close to all of Islamorada and close enough for a day trip to Key West. Rob & Regina were very attentive hosts. We will definitely do this again. Highly Recommended!!!

Everything about our stay was amazing! Regina was welcoming and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay! The Bungalow was well appointed with everything we could have possibly needed. The tiki bar, fire pit and spa were our absolute favorites. The pool was almost like having our very own private pool! The Keys are meant for outdoor fun and that is exactly what we experienced during our stay! Every single detail was taken care of for us. The owners thought of everything to make sure our family had a 5 star experience! We will be back and would recommend this bungalow to all of our friends!

Best hosts ever!

I'll start off by saying that I have stayed in many places via VRBO and have never had such great hosts as we had in Rob and Regina!! From answering my questions when I originally booked, to providing such helpful information leading up to our stay - they were both top notch! The bungalow is absolutely perfect - beautifully decorated and no detail spared. It was very clean and had everything that we needed and more! My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer! But we will be back! Rob was excellent with the local recommendations and our favorites were Wahoo's (get the Wahoo BLT!) and be sure to catch the sunset at Papa Joe's. You can't go wrong with Rob and Regina's little slice of paradise. Thank you both for a great weekend!

Secluded Paradise

The title says it all… Secluded? Check. Paradise? Check. Captain Rob and Regina’s place was immaculate and had amenities we didn’t even know we needed, but now we want them in our own homes. The ice maker made the good ice! The beds were also so comfortable! The pictures didn’t do the outdoor area/backyard justice. Perfect spot for some shaded napping in the afternoon heat after a dip in the almost private pool. Literally, we saw maybe 4 people at the pool other than us the entire week. Communication was prompt and super friendly. Lastly, the practice of leaving any non-perishable items was greatly appreciated and we hope that continues with the next guests! Would highly recommend. We WILL be back.

First trip to the Keys!

Rob and Regina are wonderful hosts! Working and communication with them was nice and easy. Their bungalow is everything you see in the pictures and the property details are exactly as described. Very well appointed and plenty of amenities. It was nice to take some time and relax by the pool, enjoy drinks / dinner at the tiki bar and end the day in the hot tub. The tiki bar is awesome! This was our first time in the Keys. Long overdue! Our stay in Islamorada and choosing this property did not disappoint! Our minds are already planning another visit! There is definitely truth to the saying “Livin’ on Keys time”!!!

Escape from the COLD

Our first stay at the bungalow and it didn’t disappoint. What you see is what you get, no smoke and mirrors. The listing is spot on. We fished and utilized the tiki bar to its fullest. Regina recommended some local areas to paddle board, we landed at Anne Beach. Beautiful! The pool is perfectly located next to the bungalow. Unexpected surprise was the shared pantry, pay it forward and leave behind unused dry goods, bug spray, beers, laundry detergent etc. definitely came in handy for doing some laundry. Great communication for Regina and Capt Rob. Will definitely be booking again for our next trip to Islamorada.

Perfect for our honeymoon getaway!

The ease of communication, readiness to help, answer any questions, and overall friendliness didn’t quite prepare us for the perfect space for us to rest our feet during an amazing Islamorada vacation. I cannot stress enough how nice it was to communicate with our host. Directions and information provided once we booked was very appreciated. The property itself(and the neighborhood) felt like a nice place to call home. The amenities were wonderful and much needed! We somehow had the shared pool to ourselves each time we took a dip. Bike rides were also a pleasant addition to activities as we wanted to experience the area as a resident. The outside deck with hot-tub, tiki bar, and fire pit area made it feel like an out of world experience, very rewarding! Inside was beautiful with cute touches all over. Didn’t use the kitchen a whole lot, but it had everything you could ask for. Our early December booking was decorated for Christmas and was a beautiful surprise. A+ stay, A+ property, A+ experience

A Wonderful Holiday Visit

My wife & I had the pleasure of being guests at Regina & Rob’s lovely getaway spot. All we can say is WOW! Not only were the amenities outstanding, but everything advertised on the listing is 100% accurate. The grilling / bar area outside was easy to use, & comfortable for a quiet night of cocktails, cooking, & moving to a nice dining area on the lanai. Heated hot tub & pool were perfect places for a quiet break in the middle of December. In addition to the house being comfortable, the decorations for the holidays were really a festive touch, to put you in the Christmas spirit. Our getaway could not have been nicer, & we strongly would recommend this property & intend to return ourselves. It is also worth noting that Rob gave us a wonderful recommendation for a fishing charter service. Chris Parthemore of Chris’ Clearwater Charters gave us a wonderful full day on the water, & this was made possible because of Rob’s suggestion. We cannot wait for our next visit to this home, & many thanks to Regina & Rob as our hosts.

This one!

The truth and nothing but the truth. I’ve rented with vrbo for about 10 years now. You leave a review and sometimes you just don’t know what to say. It’s hard to look at pictures and know exactly what you are getting into. This place has been the best place we have rented. It was more than we thought. This cottage is like the penthouse of the cottages in the area for sure. We enjoyed the hot tub. The tiki and fire pit area is so private and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked. Regina, you did amazing with the decor. I loved it all down to the custom octopus sink. This was our first time to the Keys and this was the best experience. Rob and Regina are amazing hosts and the best we have ever had. They responded and helped us with anything we needed. Not all hosts do this. You two are the best. This place is in an awesome location. We brought our boat and had a blast. The restaurants here are great and the shopping is good too. We spent 6 days and felt like we just got to know the place. We can’t wait to come back and finish exploring. There is so much to do. This place will not disappoint.

This place is perfect for 1-4 people. Great bungalow in a nice quiet area and a community pool beside property that is essentially private as no one uses it. Great hot tub and bar area outside and so clean and nicely decorated inside. Close to several restaurants, Treasures of the Sea, and about 1.5hrs to Key West. The perfect place for us 3 to explore the keys. Owners were super helpful and quickly responsive with any questions or suggestions.
