This property fit out needs well. We needed another location for our family to stay close to our reunion and it gave us the room we needed. Very clean, spacious, and in the heart of the beautiful Island Park.
Me and my family stayed here while we were visiting Yellowstone. The place was very nice and clean. It was about a 30 minutes drive to Yellowstone. We enjoyed our stay here.
Nice cabin with enough space for our group of 10. Very convenient and close to Yellowstone West gate. Nice kitchen with full amenities. Host was very responsive and friendly.
Had a nice, relaxing vacation with family.
Couple of small suggestions. We missed having a rice cooker we had our previous VRBO in Driggs.
Would be also super helpful if there was body wash and shampoo provided in the bathrooms.
We had 8 of us and we all felt comfortable and never cramped. Kitchen is stocked with the equipment you’d ever need. Clean and nice. I would return for sure.
We had the best time. Our older kids came from Washington and we enjoyed just being together. We had lots of space for everyone. Maybe the only suggestion would be if each bedroom had a ceiling fan. We would definitely stay here again. Very nice!
We had 9 people and this was the perfect place. Very well stocked with newer amenities in the entire house. We did not miss the a/c but had to run the heater a couple of times. Plus there were some spices and other cooking needs left previously that came in handy. It's a short drive to the West entrance of the park. Plenty to do nearby. Highly recommend.
The interior of the cabin was great - the one complaint we had is that it gets warm during the day, and there was only one fan in the place. On the outside - the porch needs looking after, peeling paint, loose boards and raised nails. The grounds were a little torn up, but the fire pit area was enjoyable. Convenient location and nice size.
We stayed five nights as a group of seven. The house was amazing and we were especially favorable of the two living room spaces and outdoor patios. The layout of the rooms and bathrooms worked well with our family. We also loved the additional sink, mirror upstairs for people getting ready. The location was awesome as we took motorcycles, bicycles and rafts. We also dry camped a very small trailer and there was plenty of space for all of our vehicles that came from different locations to be together. The bedding, towels and kitchen gadgets were high quality.
Communication was excellent with the property manager.
We will definitely stay again.
We had a great stay in Island Park!
Suggestions:
1- Tell people to bring fans if they want to make it cooler for sleeping (or provide one for each room). Our kids upstairs said it took a while to cool off and they rotated who got the fan each night 😂 I didn’t realize when we booked that it didn’t have AC and would’ve brought fans had I known.
2- The large king size bed downstairs would be fabulous upstairs in the master suite attached to the bathroom. It’s kind of cramped in the smaller room downstairs.
Things we loved:
1- location was awesome surrounded by trails for exploring and having fun
2- it was clean and well maintained
3- kitchen was stocked with necessities and we loved the nugget ice maker!!
4- response to questions and needs were handled in a timely manner
5- plenty of space for relaxing and hanging out for our downtime
6- smart TV was nice to have
This home was great and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. The water for showering was on the cool side. We assumed they had the water heater set on a lower temp. I mentioned the water temp the second to the last day of our stay and on our last day the water temperature was noticeably warmer. This was our fault. We should have mentioned the situation right away. Also, we were doing a couple loads of laundry before we left the next day for Glacier. The dryer stopped working.I contacted Jamie and she came over right away at around 9pm. She offered to take our laundry to her house and another unoccupied rental near by to dry it. Eventually, Jamie was able to get the dryer working again. We did continue to have an issue with dryer. Despite, Jamie telling us to contact her if the problem continued. We chose not to because it was late and we did not want to bother her. We were able to get the clothes fairly dry/ slightly damp. This is not a complaint. One can not predict when an appliance will stop working. I mentioned this because Jamie responded very quickly and did everything in her power to fix the situation at that hour of the night. The only negative comment I have ..it would be nice to have some body soap or wash avail. We were aware there would not be any before our stay. However, most places supply, soap, & shampoo. We would 100% stay again.
The house is very nice and the pictures are accurate. It says there are no spices etc... but people who have stayed before you have left salt and pepper and sugar etc.. in the cabinet. The house is a bit of a drive (30 min) to Yellowstone gate, but we enjoyed not being in West Yellowstone/in a house rather than hotel. The picture of the moose in the pond led me to believe there was a pond behind the house, there is not. The neighborhood is quiet and it is a really great place to stay.
Very responsive to texts- sending me a map at about 10:00 on Friday night. If your thinking about it, book it.
The house was great! Located in a quiet neighborhood, the kids enjoyed their time here. This location is close to West Yellowstone, the entrance to the park.
Wonderful home that was enjoyed by all. Days spent exploring Yellowstone and Island Park sights. Little bit of a drive to Yellowstone but enjoyed being away from the crowds. Cooked most of our own evening meals as restaurants in the area are limited or closed. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us
Loved everything about this house. Sometimes you rent houses and the pictures are better than the actual house, but not in this case. I found myself saying, "wow" every time I went into another room. Would most definitely rent this again.
We had a great stay at this property while we explored a couple of national parks. The property was as advertised and we had quick response from the host when we had a question and needed some assistance after we checked out. The best moment was one morning we had all gathered for breakfast around the kitchen table and a moose with her little one walked right by our front window. Literally feet away from us. We didn’t get a photo because it all happened too fast but It was awesome! Thank you for your help and a great stay!
Our extended family of 8, planned a trip to Yellowstone. The house worked well for us and was close enough to the west entrance. Very pleased to see a mother moose and her 2 babies outside the window on the first morning!
We had 7 people in our group and this home offered plenty of space. The home was clean and well kept. Just a few miles from the local grocery store which had all the basic items you would need. We went to Yellowstone park for 2 days. The first day we left at 7 to get to the gate early (like every other tourist). It took aver an hour to get through the gate. The 2nd day we left at 8 and avoided all traffic. Entered the park at almost the exact time as the day before.
