We ate loads of lovely local seafood - scallops from the Wee Cottage Kitchen, crab claws & prawns from Lochmaddy Bay Prawns & lobster from vending machine at The Dunes Larder. "We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. "As retired antiquarians and interior designers, the property has been updated to the highest of standards. As birdwatchers and nature lovers, the property did not disappoint with the variety of species. Mr and Mrs Roger are lovely people. We highly recommend a stay."

"The Property was simple to find. Cottage was in a good location for travel around the island, also handy for the shop and petrol pumps. For bird watchers, it is right beside the Machair and we saw loads including the corn crake. The cottage was well equipped, though we had to look for the instructions for the hob. We didn’t use the wood burner but we did use the bench outside to the rear. We would stay here again"
