"This was a quick father and son three night getaway. Very pleased with the Apple Cottage. Very quiet, comfortable and close to town and wonderful hiking locations. Would definitely do again!"

"Place was excellent. The secluded fire pit area was a treat. But the real surprise was every single morning at least 10-15 deer arrived. So cool!!! This part of Southwest Harbor is loaded with deer. Just a special way to wake up."
Quiet location. Home is 1/2 a mile to Seawall Beach and 3 miles to town center.

"Great location for hiking in Acadia. The house was clean, kitchen well stocked. We had plenty of room for 2 couples. The backyard deck & patio table was perfect. Washer & dryer were a big asset. Very quiet location, but close to Acadia, Bar Harbor. Good restaurants in the area too."

"Harbourside Inn was such a quaint and charming stay, tucked away in the quiet town of Northeast Harbor. It’s about a 20-minute drive from the livelier Bar Harbor, which ended up being the best of both worlds for us. The shops and restaurants nearby do close fairly early, but Bar Harbor is just a short drive away whenever you want a little more action. We loved the slower pace here, especially being able to walk into town for coffee in the mornings. It felt peaceful, cozy, and quintessentially Maine—the perfect home base for our time on Mount Desert Island."

"We had such a wonderful stay! It was the perfect space for me, my husband, and our 10-month-old baby. We wanted to stay in a quiet area near Bar Harbor, and this location was exactly what we were looking for. The space was beautifully decorated with such a cozy Maine feel, and we loved all the thoughtful details throughout the home. We used the second bedroom for our baby, which worked out perfectly. The area was peaceful and quiet, while still being a convenient drive to Bar Harbor. We also accidentally left our baby monitor behind, and the host reached out to me and shipped it back to us. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!"

"We were extremely pleased with the Stone's Throw (New) Cabin in Southwest Harbor. We highly recommend this lodging! The cabin was situated in quiet, peaceful wooded surroundings, not too far from local amenities and shopping in the small but lovely village of Southwest Harbor. It's also quite close to Echo Beach, where the water was anything but wickedly cold...rather it was very swimmable, even in early September.The cabin was lovely and very well appointed. Amy Hennigan has done a wonderful job stocking the cabin. We wasted a lot of luggage space bringing household items that our host had already graciously supplied! Her cabin is clean and well stocked, with all the comforts of home. We didn't want to leave! The somewhat long drive to the start of the park loop road was wonderful for sightseeing and souvenir shopping along the way. And Acadia National Park was a wonderful place to spend our vacation time!Stone's Throw gets five stars from the two of us!"

"The Hidden Place is a very nicely appointed cottage which was very clean and in a quiet location. It offers great access to the entrance to Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor is just a short 15 minute drive away for groceries, dining and other attractions."
