"This site is definitely off the beaten track but not far from Cefalu where we went to visit. When we checked in the host told us about an local festival going on that evening so we walked the 8 minutes to the site of then festival and were able to sample some of the local cuisine. Every morning we awoke to the sound of bells from the local sheep herds. On Sunday morning we attended Mass at the local parish where we were part of a 50 year wedding celebration. "Everything was great: the hotel has its own bay, beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, all included, excellent breakfast and lunch restaurant (reasonable prices and good food). The amount of space you have in your room and terrace is incredible (for me, luxury=space). Only drawbacks: 1. a rocky beach. Bring water shoes. You get used to it. There’s a ramp (of sandbags) to help you get past the rocks and gravel in the shallow parts). 2. (Serious) no safety strips in the showers: very slippery. All in all: totally worth it, every penny!!!"
