Good bathroom, small bedroom, insufficient lighting in bedroom. Breakfast adequate. Reception and breakfast room staff helpful. Some noise from club opposite.
To sum it up in a few words as I don’t have enough characters to write a whole review, it is an unmaintained, shoddy, unpleasant hotel situated in an extremely busy, loud and dirty street and I was very disappointed and immediately regretted booking this hotel.
I definitely would NOT book again or recommend to family/friends. There are far better hotels in many other areas.
Pros:
The room is very clean. The receptionist is pleasant and fluent in English.
Negatives:
Very strong sewer smell in the room. The hairdryer is not working. The refrigerator is very very small and does not work. Some of the towels were torn and old. The disco is adjacent to the hotel and the loud music continues until around five in the morning. There is no window in the room.
The hotel is charming, just like the name. We stayed for only one night. The room was much smaller than we expected but we didn’t mind because we just needed a place to sleep. The bathroom was very nice- great water pressure and temps for the shower. The breakfast was seemingly average/comparable to other complimentary breakfasts.
The Hotel itself is great and we loved the room and the service. Our room was facing out towards the street above the reception and therefore our biggest issue was noise. I would ask if possible for a room facing out in a different direction. Nothing the hotel can really do about this, but it’s something to be mindful of! Would recommend nevertheless.
