"Obviously a business hotel, but I was here on a short trip to Hamburg with my daughter. We booked a room with a view and got a room on the 23rd floor, however the view angle was quite limited by the building itself. The view we could see was excellent! The room was very nice however lacking cleaning in some minor important areas - the area by the window for example. On the plus side the television has built in Chromecast - a very nice touch for a family on the go. Breakfast was very good with nice variety and the possibility of ordering pancakes and omelettes among other things. Lastly the hotel staff should be mentioned. They were very good at talking to my 5-year old daughter and make her feel seen!"

"Hotel staff were excellent. Room 411 was very hot, ac didn’t work and the window ventilation wasn’t enough to cool the room off. Lounge/ bar staff were great the first night. 2nd night their service was very poor. We waited 30 minutes to get waited on and it took another 25 minutes to get the order. It wasn’t that busy in the bar and with 4 waiters and bartender it should have been manageable. After having them walk by us and not acknowledging our table a couple of times and we sat and watched them talk with each other looking around and relaxing, I decided to go up to the bar for a second order. The waiter took it but it never came. Waited another 20 minutes for our 2nd round of drinks and decided to cut our losses any further and went back to the bar and paid for our first round. The waiter asked if everything was ok and I told him that the service was very poor. We were needing our bill since our last order wasn’t coming. He was the waiter I made the order with and he pretty much told me that sometimes orders are not put in and that I should be ok with it. Be aware that depending on the night the service maybe very good or very poor."

"The room was well laid out and clean. The breakfast was well stocked and the choices were extensive. I cannot think of anything that wasn’t available for the breakfast. The hotel is distinctive, with a classic 19th century design."

"We stayed for three nights and had a very spacious room with a huge king-sized bed. The staff were really helpful printing out tickets and booking a taxi for us. Good breakfasts. We loved the swap a room clean for a free drink concept! Location was great for walking around the city - about 15 minutes for most places of interest."
