I’ve stayed at many ryokan in different parts of Japan; Yukairou Kikuya is by far the best. Not only does it have flawless service, beautiful rooms and superb food, but it has famously beneficial onsen water in baths that range from in-room to private to a larger “public” one that I nevertheless had all to my self. The baths are often outdoors in private gardens, which enhances the experience. I also had a shiatsu massage that ranks among the best of my life. I can’t recommend Kikuya highly enough, and can’t wait to return.

良き

ゆっくり過ごす事ができました。お風呂も沢山あり貸切風呂は事前に予約はいらないところが良かったです。それぞれ違うので楽しいです。お食事はボリューム満点でメインやご飯が選べるのも嬉しいです。お誕生日祝いだったのですがケーキをご提案頂きましたが、食べきれないかとお断りしたら記念品を頂きました。お心遣いが嬉しかったです。

ロケーションは良い。川もあり、中庭もあり、雰囲気がとても素敵でした。しかし、増築が故に冷房の効かない通路があったりで部屋に着くまでに汗をかく。建物内は迷路のような作りなので最初だけでも部屋まで案内をしてほしかった。チェックインの際に地図で説明されただけで、どこに自分たちの部屋があるのか地図を見ながらウロウロ、また、荷物を持ちながらの移動は疲れた。温泉は貸切も含めるとたくさんあるがタオルは備え付けのタオル（１セット）のみなので部屋にタオルの干せる場所がほしかったです。ほしいと言えばもらえたかもしれませんが。

全て満足としましたが、100点満点だと90点でしょうか。 夕食も十分に満足できるものでしたが、前菜のトウモロコシを使ったものが少し水っぽい(作り置きの解凍？)とか少し気になる点もありました。 朝ごはんは、和食のチョイスをしている方が大半でしたが、正解です。洋食はイマイチでした。 ただ、ご飯をおひつに盛るときに、盛り方が悪いのか、軟らかめにたけたのが、ご飯粒がつぶれていました。 朝食については、同じ伊豆の共立さんでも昨年の同時期に行ったきらの里のほうが良かったです。 お風呂も貸し切りが4か所あって、部屋数からしたら入れないかと思いましたが、夜中も入れるため、十分に堪能できました。歴史の古い修善寺はお湯もいいです。 ラウンジも水出しコーヒーが美味しいし、コーヒーも美味しいし、うれしいServiceでした。 老舗旅館を共立さんの味付けでうまく再生させた素敵な宿ですね。 ぜひまた行きたいです。
