What a wonderful stay, this location is off the beaten path for foreigners but it is such a hidden gem. It had an onsen, free drinks within a time limit, restaurant on premise, a show by performers every night, a beautiful garden and yukatas to borrow. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Also while they do offer a shuttle, and bikes to rent, please make sure to inform them so they can be ready to take you/accomodare you. What can I say about the STAFF and HOTEL (ryokan) experience that I had at the Tamatsukuri Choseikaku Grand Hotel?? All I can say was AMAZING. I arrived prior to the check-in time, as my train schedule was fairly rigid this day. The wonderful staff had no issues in storing my backpack in their storage area until the official time I could check in.
