This is a lovely hotel and great nearby restaurants! However, the outside spa never worked the three nights we stayed. We got a surprise with $30 a plate breakfast when we thought it was included. They did remove that after we addressed the issue. Then we got a large charge at the end for resort use fees (just for staying there) that apparently the folks in Jackson voted to allow. Jackson is so overpriced that locals and new middle class transplants can’t afford to stay. In fact the resorts are bringing in employees from overseas that they can pay less and charge you more! Is it beautiful? Yes. Is it worth it? You tell me.

Even though this property is beautiful, the pool water was freezing for an indoor pool. The elevator kept getting stuck so we took the stairs. Everything closed early and the restaurants that didn’t were way overpriced. The only friendly person was the concierge. Everyone seemed annoyed to have to talk to us or check us in. The restaurant staff also was not friendly but I kept talking to our server and she finally warmed up to us. I booked through Expedia reserve now and pay later. They took half of the fee in December and then had to refund the money. Then they took half again before our trip and then the week of our trip took the other half. Lucky I am a person that had that on my card but that was a breach of a contract that I have an email in writing it would not be taken until we arrived. Then there was a car show and we were not allowed to park there, except if you wanted to pay for it. If it wasn’t the car show we could park for free. The gondolas also were not running so we could not go to the top. This was the most expensive place of our ten day trip (we only stayed two nights) but the most disappointing. The hot tub with the waterfall and the nice bathroom is the only thing I would say I enjoyed.

Snake River Lodge was our final destination on our trip out west. It was a wonderfully upscale, quiet experience for us. We were able to check in quickly and found our room to be clean, accommodating, and inviting. We found Teton Village to be beautiful and welcoming and Snake River Lodge made it even more so. We would definitely come back to visit Snake River Lodge in the future!
