We were here for an overnight stay and my kids (boys 5 & 7) LOVED being outside, jumping over the creek, petting the dogs, feeding the goats, and looking at the beautiful Highland cattle - then spending the evening chasing fireflies. This is a very special place if you're looking to just get away. We plan to come back for a longer stay. "

"A lovely place to spend the last week of summer vacation. It’s tucked away and so quiet and peaceful. The cabin was super clean, very comfy and had everything we needed. When we had questions, the host was immediately responsive. We are looking forward to staying here again!"

Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family. "

"This place was perfect for our stay at Black Mountain. We had a conference at Ridgecrest and it was less than 2 minutes away! All the amenities worked and it was such a calm place to stay. This would be a great place to bring family and enjoy hanging out in the backyard cooking out, playing games, and eating s’mores! Great attention to detail and love the care taken to welcome dogs as well. "
