The buildings and rooms are a little tired, but the host is very welcoming. Great position in the city, little noisy because of this but quiet during the night.it’s very secure.

Noisy Night in Jaen

I picked the Pension because it was close to the town center. Check in was ok—I was there at 1230 and check in wasn’t until 1430. Fair dues, the owner gave me my room right away. The premises and the room seemed tired, worn out, and a bit grubby. Light in the passageway was an issue at night. In the bathroom there was a sulphorous odor. If you kept the bathroom door closed it didn’t get into the bedroom. The shower is small, and it was a bit like having a fight with yourself in a telephone booth. Pretty standard for Europe though. There was a thin sheet between me and the mattress which didn’t fill me with confidence. The biggest issue of all though was the noise. There was some sort of party going till 0400! Very loud. And whoever was next to my room could be heard clanging, bumping, thumping and talking. As I wrote earlier—I chose location over every else. So, I have only myself to blame. Finally, it seemed very expensive for what I got. But it is right in the middle of town.

Buena ubicación en el barrio de San Ildefonso

Incluso haber indicado cuando íbamos a llegar, teníamos que llamar por teléfono al llegar en la entrada de la pensión (no es un gran problema, pero tanto en el contacto anterior como en la entrada misma da otra impresión). Nuestra habitación estaba en la segunda planta, sin ascensor. Tanto la habitación como el cuarto de baño son relativamente pequeños pero bastante prácticos. Eso sí, si los demás huéspedes llegan tarde o se van pronto, o hacen ruido, se nota mucho. Hay toallas y jabón/gel/shampoo, pero en los 3 días que estábamos no nos cambiaron las toallas, ni limpiaron la habitación...lo que nos sorprendió bastante porque en teoría es una pensión, en la práctica es un apartamento - sin cocina - turístico.

La habitación y el baño estaban limpios. El baño dispone de secador bastante útil para no tener que cargar con uno en la maleta. La tv plana con Netflix es otro punto a favor. La cama y almohada muy cómodas. La zona es tranquila, sin ruido por las noches, salvo el fin de semana (viernes/sábado) que si había un poco más, pero se podía dormir y se estaba bien. El dueño muy atento en todo momento. La única pega que le pondría es que hay que llamar a la puerta de la calle cada vez que quieres entrar al hostal. A veces nos daba apuro llamar si era la hora de la siesta o si era muy tarde por la noche, pero aún así bastante bien

Un alojamiento céntrico en Jaén

Un alojamiento caro para lo que ofrece y la ciudad en la que se ubica. Sin embargo, el dueño fue muy atento y servicial, me explicó todo acerca de Jaén. Su ubicación céntrica hace de este alojamiento una buena opción para una visita turística.
