Great family stay
Great hotel. Area not so good across the road from a very busy railway station. Can be a bit noisy through the night. Rooms are great, clean and spacious. Restaurant at the hotel serves veg only and is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great value for the price. No frills at this hotel, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good every day, and the front desk service was very good, helping us get taxis and general traveller help. The area is very busy, right by the Railway station. Not our favorite area of the city to explore, but easy to get around from there.

They are trying to look like an international hotel with a metal detector at the front for show. when it rains water runs down the inside walls. At checkout they tried to charge me for a duvet which became a cheaper sheet and then became no damage at all when I still wanted to see what they were talking about. Overall I would stay again, mainly because the one little attempted scam isn't nearly as bad as the pressure for tips you get elsewhere. It's still disappointing through after they've presented themselves like an international.

The room itself was fine, clean and comfy bed. My room didn't have a shower as such, it had the Indian style bucket and jug to wash with instead. It did the job but anyone wanting a shower beware. Only complaint I and my friends had was when we checked out the staff had up our accounts on here and other booking websites to leave top marks for the place! We refused and said we'd do it when back home.

On arrival for 11day stay I was given a room with no shower! This was corrected the next morning,but was a bit of a shock. Following this, everything went very well. Comfortable, air conditioned room. The room service was particularly good, nothing too much trouble for Jalendra who serviced my room so well. Reception was a bit disorganised at times - language / communication being a problem. I found the restaurant to be rather poor with limited menu. Breakfast menu in particular was very inadequate. Toast and Jam every morning. I like curry - but not for breakfast! In general I had comfortable stay but was disappointed that there was no liqueur barin the hotel. There is a beer shop next door though!

Neighborhood is definitely unsafe because my mother was punched in front of the station by a strange man. When we got in the room for the first time, the garbage was still left. Many insects are in a room.

Very bad hotel, staff are very rude
I booked the hotel and reached there at night. Even I showed my pan card and passport. They refused to give me the room. Even they did not refund the money. When I asked to give in writing why they are not giving the room. He started abusing me and called his security to throw out my luggage. Never go to this hotel

Superbly located Hotel,close to Business Centres
Hotel Raya Inn's location helped me to plan my stay effectively,it is Opposite to Railway Station and Bus Depot this gave me an edge to plan my travel in rajasthan effeciently. I had to travel for my work to Delhi,Ajmer,Kota,Bikaner due to the location of hotel I could byepass the city traffic and hit the highway in no time, hence my travelling time got saved. Hotel has a clean Lobby which gives a soothing feeling as soon as one enters the hotel, Rooms are beautiful with good interior and most importantly they are spacious.Staff is friendly and services provided were quick and swift. One thing i would like to quote, unlike the other hotels in the city where i have made my stay in the past,staff was understanding and helpful .

Customer service still not improved
After our first attempt to stay in this hotel (of which you can read in my previous review) we can finally manage to write a feedback about it. The room we got was actually nice and clean, much better than the one they got us as replacement in the previous occasion. Location of the hotel is also very handy. It is true though, as someone else mentioned, that the check in takes ages and it also involves taking pictures (!?!). Anyway, what I mainly didn't like, and that makes up for my low feedback, is again the customer service. We ordered some food which got delivered and paid. When the young staff member came back with my change, he suddenly tried to get into the room without asking permission or giving any explanation, and just when facing my opposition he claimed he needed to use my phone to contact reception for something completely unrelated (Why my phone? Don't they have any for staff communications?). He was probably trying to catch my girlfriend in some more relaxed dresses (btw she was locked in the toilet), and allow me to say that this too seems to be a recurrent problem when travelling through India. Overall, again, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Cheeky tricks
This review it's not actually about the hotel but about their customer service. You can read our review about the hotel on my next feedback. We choose this hotel (for two separate dates) for the reason it is very close to the rail station and that's what we mainly needed for ourselves. Unfortunately when we got there we have been told they could not host us blaming on a recent fire affecting part of the hotel. Despite them having my booking, phone number and email address, nobody thought it would be a good idea to let us know in advance. Anyway they arranged us a stay in another hotel which we then found out it was of a slightly lower class. We agreed for it but we demanded them to arrange for a taxi to go there and then take us back to the station (as it was more than half an hour away) for our departure, and they ensured us they would do so! On the day of our departure no taxi showed up at the second hotel, and after calling them through the reception they refused to send anybody and just told us to sort it out ourselves!!!?! Of course we were not willing to have any of that! We pointed our feet and told the second hotel that we would not move from their reception and for them to sort it out, and they finally did sort it out paying a taxi for us to the rail station. Overall I don't think this behaviour is acceptable and that their promises are not worth that much.

It caught fire!
I booked into this hotel and within minutes of entering my room, the hotel was on fire and I had to evacuate. From my first impressions of the room, this was one of the better hotels I was going to stay in in India. It is tastefully decorated and seemed clean. Sadly, I did't get to stay here but was moved to another hotel for the night. One thing that did shock me was there didn't seem to be any emergency plan for a disaster like this as I and other guests were left to stand outside to the mercy of all the ticket/hotel touts who then kept persuading us to go to one of their hotels. Staff could not be identified and I had to speak to a police officer to get help as nobody seemed to care about the guests. I'm grateful that they did eventually get me to another hotel and I'm very grateful to the young porter who ran back in to retrieve my walking boots and I hope he took the few rupees I left on the side table for this risk. With all this happening and eventually getting booked in another hotel, I didn't got to see any of Jaipur as I was now tired and had a train back to Delhi the next afternoon. If, I was to ever go back to Jaipur, then I would probably book this hotel again.
