"Beautiful setting! We kept saying “wow” over and over! Staff was very helpful despite a slight language barrier. Rooms were very basic-small (but reasonable considering all European hotels have small rooms) very clean. We were there during an intense heat wave and not used to not having AC, the room was miserably hot but the staff found us two fans that we were able to use during our stay. Breakfast was delicious.
Would definitely recommend walking around, but be aware that hours for local businesses varies with some being closed for hours at a time. There’s a few SPARs (groc), BIPA (pharmacy type stuff… think shampoo, diapers, first aide) and then Billa (groc) but they were all closed on Sunday. Hotel Lecher is an awesome dinner place- great food, and service staff were able to speak English. Check out the local beer gardens as well."
"This is such a unique hotel! It is a fully renovated building which is part of the old monastery. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely done with simplicity and elegance. Great clean bathroom and separate toilet within the room. The property is set in a small village and surrounded by nature. They even have the canopy walk for kids and adults by the property but it wasn't operational this early in June. We stayed one night and enjoyed it. Even the breakfast which is included in was great.
If you like to immerse yourself to a quiet place this is definitely a great spot to pick. This hotel is family friendly. We would stay longer but we had to move forward with our travel plans. We would definitely stay again and we recommend this hotel."
"The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view over the fields and town of Zeltweg, to the mountains in the distance. The staff were polite and the breakfast was excellent as was the food in the restaurant.
I would have given this hotel five stars, however contacting anyone "after hours" was extremely difficult. My key card stopped working, unfortunately on a Tuesday night when the restaurant is closed. I came back from dinner at 8:30 pm and found the reception was closed and I could not get hold of anyone to fix the key card or let me into my room. The telephone numbers provided did not work and there was no bell push or button at reception to call anyone.
Fortunately, after two hours of trying to get hold of someone on the phone, another guest tried sending a message on Whatsapp and that managed to get the owner to come and fix the keycard problem. That was really not acceptable and spoiled an otherwise excellent stay."
CHALET CHESETTA Mountain cabin—dogs welcome—at 1,600 m, with a sauna, hot tub, balcony...
10/10 Excellent
"An amazing place full of charm. My wife and I had a great experience from start to finish. In a world where many things disappoint, this is one thing that didn’t. We will certainly be back to enjoy the G'Schlössl again."
