Jamestown in town, family-friendly cozy cottage near JNT beach/Newport, pets, ok

Ideal location. This 3/2 (sleeps 6) cozy cottage is suited for all seasons and is truly an entertainer's dream with a spacious Chef's Kitchen. Downstairs, you will find two separate living areas with Smart TVs, allowing for private workspaces and ample space for family time. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms and a full bath. There is an additional full bath downstairs. There is a king bed with a TV, a queen bedroom, and a third Bedroom with two twins. The private back deck includes a pool, a hot tub, an outdoor dining area, a BBQ, a Gazebo, a fire pit, and plenty of seating to accommodate all tastes and moods. Off the deck, you will find a comfortable and private backyard.
Discounts for more extended stays are available, especially from December through May. Please inquire about pricing.
Free onsite parking is available (4 cars). You are within walking distance to downtown, including restaurants, shopping, and the marina, where you can catch the Jamestown Ferry for convenient access to Newport. Easy access to kayaking, fishing, sailing, and walking trails. Mackerel Cove Beach (great for young families) is less than 1/2 a mile away. Famed Beavertail State Park, one of New England's most unique and picturesque landmarks, is just a 5-minute drive away. Fort Getty and Fort Weatherall are close by, surrounded by the beautiful Narragansett Bay. Great for picnics, walking, or a relaxing afternoon. Breath-taking sunsets are minutes from your doorstep. Newport is a 10-minute ride by land or by sea. You are 20 minutes from Narragansett beaches and 10 minutes from charming, eclectic Wickford Village, ideal for an afternoon of antiquing. Block Island is a short ferry ride away, making for a fun-filled day trip. A recently built, modernized playground is just across the street, perfect entertainment for the young! Tennis courts are just around the corner. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy Jamestown's picturesque course, including a new luxury Clubhouse. McQuade's Village Market is just up the street for convenient food shopping. Zekes, an iconic fishmonger, always has an enticing selection of fresh catch. Steps away, you'll find popular gourmet coffee and new baked goods in one direction, and an ice cream shop in the other. Pets are allowed; they are part of the family, too. However, you must get approval from me prior.
Additionally, a pet fee inevitably goes toward additional cleaning costs. Jamestown is a very dog-friendly town. Loud parties or large gatherings are not allowed. Guests are expected to respect their neighbors and adhere to Jamestown's town noise ordinances, including quiet hours beginning at 11 PM. However, special events can be arranged on the back deck and in the garden. Please confirm with me prior.

A great visit to Jamestown!

My family of five, including 3 young children, had a wonderful stay in this lovely home with the most welcoming host. The house is clean, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed, and the outside area is perfect for summer fun. The location was great, and the kids especially appreciated the ice cream shop just a few doors down! Thanks again!!

Fantastic summer week

Steve was a phenomenal host. He was attentive, flexible, helpful, and earnestly wanted our family to have a relaxing and memorable week. The property itself is well located and the pool and hot tub in the backyard were great, especially with kids. The town is dog friendly and it was great to be able to bring our dog on the trip with us. Highly recommend Steve's house for a family trip.

Fantastic House

We had an amazing stay at this adorable house. Steve was the best host and always available to answer any questions about the property or location. The house was very clean and the back deck, pool and hot tub was like a little oasis. Can’t beat the location - walking distance to town and beach. We were three couples and plenty of space for all to enjoy. An all around 5 star stay and host, thanks Steve. We would like to make it an annual stay.

The perfect getaway!

This charming house was very comfortable and more spacious than I was expecting. Very clean and well appointed. We were there celebrating my daughter's sweet 16 and the outside area with pool, hot tub, and firepit area was perfect for hanging out. There were also ample spaces to sit and relax inside. Beds were cozy and kitchen was large and well-stocked. Walking distance to the small downtown area, market, bakery, convenience store and more. Steve was a very attentive host. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

As good as it gets

We arrived to the quaint island of Jamestown with very high expectations and they were met in every way! Steve was such a large part of making our visit the best it could be; he was available to help with all of our requests, but also gave us our privacy, being the perfect host. For those that have never visited Jamestown, it is the perfect getaway for those who enjoy great food, beautiful scenery, and small town charm. We honestly did not need to leave this delightful island. Everything is within walking distance from Jamestown Cottage by the Sea: downtown, Mackerel Cove, victuals, great pizza, a breakfast cafe, the harbor, and even a florist, are all within walking distance. The cottage is spacious, clean, and beautiful, falling in line with the enchantment of Jamestown. Would we go back? As soon as possible!

Fantastic property, wonderful stay!

We had the perfect stay. The house was clean, quiet, and fully equipped with all the essentials and more. Everything was so well organized and we were never at a loss for finding anything we needed because everything was labeled so clearly. The pool, jacuzzi and fire pit were a nice addition and the house lived comfortably with multiple sitting and gathering areas. The convenience of location to the park, shops, beach and restaurants was paramount. The host was incredibly responsive to questions and worked to accommodate all our needs both before we arrived and during our stay. We look forward to coming back and would definitely choose to stay here again!

My adult children came in from all over the country for a family get together. The house was fantastic- immaculately clean, well appointed, super comfortable seating and beds. High quality towels and sheets and the host was great! Super responsive. Oh and the back yard with the pool was awesome. 10 out of ten on every aspect of the stay!

Family Vacation

Perfect location! Short walk to get breakfast or a coffee in the morning and in the evenings an even shorter walk to the ice cream shop. My kids loved it. They would walk into town to get pizza. I finally felt relaxed on a family vacation since there was plenty to do in and around Jamestown as well as Newport. The pool float that Steve bought for us was fantastic. I would float and read my book. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Holiday Cottage

This cottage was perfect for our Thanksgiving holiday. Even though we did not do the cooking, we certainly could have. The kitchen was nicely equipped and Steve even offered to make a special set of dishes available for us. Steve was very attentive to every detail. Check in was super easy, everything was clean, and the showers were stocked with toiletries. There is a great outdoor space with pool, hot tub and fire pit table which we did not use due to all the other activities we had planned but I would love to come back some day.

Amazing Attentive Host!

A great fall weekend stay just outside of Newport. Family of 5 slept comfortably. Very clean! It is obvious that Steve takes a lot of pride in his home. Communication with him was great throughout our weekend, making sure we had what we needed. Always love communicating directly with the home owner rather a business!
