"Overall a great location and good experience staying here. We stayed four nights near the end of July. The only downside is the inability to adequately control the temperature in the room. It wasn't weather while we were there (~60-70 degrees Fahrenheit), but if you are used to sleeping/staying in a cooler room, there isn't a way to easily cool things down. One window opens about 4 inches to let in some air, but it takes a while to make a difference (open window can get a lot of street noise at night). The thermometer allows you to do +2 or -2 degrees celsius from the set thermostat level, but we did not notice a difference when we made a -2 degree adjustment. We managed OK and it didn't affect our stay or enjoyment of the hotel. However, I could see in hotter weather this could be a challenge and might be less comfortable. But, I expect this might be typical of hotels in Stockholm, so maybe it's just something to be aware of. On other aspects, the location is very good, close to lots of shopping and restaurants and easy access to the train station."

"We had a great one night stay at Comfort Hotel Xpress Stockholm Central. Our room was spacious and located on the 4th floor. The staff was helpful in making arrangements before our arrival to ensure a great stay. A good location between planes, trains, buses or just a for a walk or morning jog to almost anywhere in central Stockholm."

"I liked the hotel’s modern design and overall aesthetic. The burgers at the restaurant were delicious! However, I was disappointed that the room didn’t include a refrigerator or microwave. The room is also very small for four people, making our stay less comfortable than expected."

"We always stay here when traveling to sweden upon arrival or departure depending on our flight schedule. Always conveniently located to catch Arlanda Express or the train into town or catch our flight the next morning. The shopping nearby is also great if you need one final cardamom bun before leaving Sweden. Speaking of food, leave yourself time for breakfast in the morning…so much to choose from, including making your own fresh squeezed orange juice! My husband even said that it was his best sleep of any hotels we stayed in during our stay! Highly recommend!"

"Centrally located, close to the train station and an easy walk to most of the attractions. Room was a little tired and cramped. Overall a good functional hotel and perfect for a weekend break if you get it at the right price."

"There were 2 lovely women at the front desk most of the 4 days we were there. They were amazing, especially since they always had people checking in and out. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a concierge which was frustrating. We had a record player in our room that for some reason we couldn’t figure out how to use it. The one time that two young men were at the front desk I asked them how to use it, and they said they had no idea and to ask the cleaners😖so I gave up. After that I only went to the women to help me get a taxi or to recommend a restaurant. Great location, great breakfast, nice bartenders and wait staff. Need to add to the snack menu at the bar (cheese and crackers, pate, fruit plate, etc) The outdoor patio off of the bar was awesome. Terrible and limited menu at the restaurant with the other outdoor seating area."

"The hotel was nice. The showers are small. If you don’t like staying in a cave, get a room with a window! Breakfast had lots of good options."

"The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The price did not include breakfast as other hotels in Sweden and Finland have. The room is comfortable and the location is excellent: right on Medborgarpladtsen, and close to the Slusen metro stop in Södermalm."

"We had a delightful stay at the Grand Hotel! Our room was very elegant and kept pristine. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Emil couldn’t have been nicer! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning and had a wonderful early diner at Verandan last evening before our early departure today 7/21/26. A perfect experience! 5 stars!!"
