Come watch the sunrise over Lake Petit from this extraordinary, 7000 square foot luxury lakefront home. Fabulous views of the lake from two huge wrap-around decks and most rooms. A short 20 minute drive to the new world renowned Gibbs Gardens

Exquisitely furnished with two great rooms each with large fieldstone gas fireplace, two fully-equipped kitchens - the main kitchen features Viking appliances and Sub Zero Refrigerator - top of the line appliances through-out + wet bar with icemaker and mini-refrigerator. Two washer/dryers, two master suites, (one with his and her bath, walk-through steam shower, and Bain Ultra Air Jet Tub), six bedrooms (includes three kings, two queens, four twins + 2 trundles & 1 full futon, seven full and 2 half baths (includes two whirlpool and 1 airjet). Close to all amenities. Rent a canoe or pontoon boat at the nearby marina or swim lake.

Beautiful Big Canoe is a spectacular gated golf and tennis community just 1 hour north of Atlanta, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. Amenities include a 27 hole championship golf course, ten tennis courts (indoor and outdoor), new fitness center featuring: indoor pool, racquetball, exercise equipment, aerobics, snack bar and professional health services including: facials, massages, pedicures and more.

Our swim club includes: a swim lake with sandy beach, pool, waterfall rock slide, canoes, paddle boats and beach volleyball. We have three lakes for quiet boating (no gas motors), fishing and swimming. Hiking and jeep trails with picturesque waterfalls. A play field for basketball, baseball, soccer, walking and playground. Great restaurants and catering. Close to antique shopping, outlet mall, site-seeing, river rafting, speed boating, horseback riding, and so much more.

Great home for a family vacation

This was our second stay at the Boyd Villa and our family thoroughly enjoyed the home and our visit to Big Canoe. Proximity to Lake Petit and all the amenities is huge plus for family activities. We also enjoyed the kitchen for preparing our family meals. Beverly is a wonderful host and is always very responsive. We look forward to our next visit to Big Canoe!

My favorite vacation home, ever!

We absolutely LOVED the Boyd Villa in Big Canoe. Loads of room, great privacy, clean and VERY well stocked. Great neighborhood, and lots to do in the area. Communication with the homeowner was awesome and they were very responsive. We have this gem saved to our favorites and if we make it back to the neighborhood, this will be the first home we look to.

Beautifu Party with Attentive Owners

We had a great Family Vacation. The property was great and views were spectacular. We enjoyed all that Big Canoe had to offer - golf, fishing, swimming and Boat Rental. Had more than enough activities to keep us busy all week. Would highly recommend both the property's facilities and activities which were available. Very comfortably accommodated our group of 12 - ages 67 to 5.

A Wonderful Host!

Beverly was a wonderful host to our family! Her beautiful home has plenty of space for everyone to have their own private sanctuary. The views of the lake are so tranquil. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, including serving dishes for large parties. We are thankful our paths crossed & look forward to them crossing again!

North Georgia Family Christmas Getaway

This is our 4th year at this property & we couldn't e more pleased. The house is gorgeous & there are plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms for everyone to have their own private space, then we all come together in the kitchen(s) and main living area for lots of dining & games. You can't beat the view of the lake (and those bald eagles are so majestic) and my bonus son fished (license required) at disharmony lake which is minutes away and happened to catch 4-5 trout. The owners are very attentive & called to check in on us shortly after our arrival.

Spectacular

Our family came in for a reunion and a wedding, we had 5 couples (no kids) and this house was perfect. So many compliments from the family as well. The patio was perfect to look at the sunrise, and enjoy viewing the lake. It was nice having a large table so we could all sit at it as well.

Family Time

A wonderful place with plenty of room and rooms for our 13 family members! Loved sitting on the deck looking out to water! So much to do in Big Canoe, pontoon boat ride, swimming, golf, fishing and nice hiking trails usually ending with waterfalls! We’ll return sometime and we look forward to it! 😄

Amazing Villa

My family, friends and I had a great time at this beautiful villa. Beverly was very easy to communicate with, helpful and extremely friendly. The property is exactly as described with an amazing location in the mountains where the trees have a different shade of green. Additionally, it has a great view of the lake that looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket. It was a wonderful getaway that I’d recommend to anyone and guarantee that in your moments there, you’ll be happy!

Great family get away

We had a week full of rest and relaxation. The property is spacious, with enough rooms to accommodate a large family. The Boyd’s were amazing hosts, they were available every step of the way, and are filled with lots of knowledge of the area, in regards to activities and towns to visit. We rented a pontoon on the lake, and spent the day jumping into the lake, swimming, and paddle boarding. Thank you Beverly for being such a great hostess. Christine

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING

Sweeney Family Weekend

The Sweeney family had a wonderful time at Big Canoe and spending a weekend at your beautiful home. We all departed the home by 10am on Monday. We locked almost all the doors but no matter how hard we tried, we could not lock the door to the deck that was nearest the main floor kitchen. After some struggle we were able to lock the door next to it. Also, I wanted to give you some feedback on the plumbing. Several times we were unable to get water flowing to the shower/bathtub in the top floor shared bathroom between rooms 1 and 2. We were able to fix the problem using an Allen wrench to tighten the hex head screw on the faucet handle, but that lasted for a shower or two before needing to be retightened. Another facet that needs tightening (probably from underneath the counter) is that one for the main floor kitchen sink. The faucet gets harder to use as it loosens. All the members of the family, adults and children, gave staying there a double thumbs-up.
