Bars, restaurants, and cafes are within 10 minutes on foot, making this a genuinely walkable base for evenings out. A car is recommended in the hotter months as the l9nger walks to the beach may not be advisable in the heat. The large Consum supermarket is just five minutes by car, and Portichol Beach is 15 minutes away.Javea is made up of three wonderful areas: the Arenal, with its broad sweep of golden sand, promenade restaurants, and lively summer evening markets; the port area, with its fish market, promenade, and waterside bars; and the old town, where narrow streets, a 16th-century church, and a colourful Thursday morning market invite an afternoon’s exploration.
