My ski buddies and I all agree that this was one of the nicest places we've stayed in the 28 years we've been going on our annual ski trips. Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and very convenient to Whiteface. Nicole was great to work with and super responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay at the Jay house. We had 4 adults, two kids and two small dogs and it was a great size for us. It’s close to many towns, trails and restaurants (30 min or less drive). We really appreciated the reliable wifi and smart TVs- which are hard to find in the Adirondacks. We also really appreciated the recommendation book and easy check in. Nicole, the owner, was very fast and easy to communicate with.
This property was just fantastic inside and out. A big wrap around deck with rocking chairs was perfect for our family to all catchup, with the activities of the day. My niece and her fiancé were married in Jay, NY just about 3 minutes away from our home away from home. We had 8 adults and two teenagers, with plenty of room to get ready for wedding or sightseeing, or hiking. Lake Placid was a short drive away and great place to grab lunch or dinners. Late nite board games and trivia around a huge dining room table was so fun. Thank you, Nichole for letting us stay in your fantastic property, we had so much fun!
Great location to the high peaks region. Lots of room and modestly, tastefully decorated. Some road noise kept us from enjoying the front porch during morning coffee but it was quiet at night so didn’t interrupt sleeping.
Our first time in the Adirondack area - I picked Jay - no particular reason - other than the house was close enough to all of the things we wanted to see and do. The house was fabulous, the area very nice, easy to get around. Everything you needed to feel at home - the beds were AMAZING. thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.
we found the house in great condition. The description was on point.
The house must have been recently updated. Great job by the hosts.
A short drive to Whiteface mountain, and on the way, a visit must be made at the Country Bear bakery.
Overall we had a great experience.
I highly recommend this house in Jay for anyone staying in the Adirondacks. The photos don’t do it justice. It was spotlessly clean and stocked with every amenities. This home is spacious enough that our family could stay comfortably, with lots of areas to gather, but with plenty of space for our extended family to retreat and recharge. The location was a dream—within 15 minutes of a great beach, the charming shops in Keane, and amazing hikes. Nicole was incredibly accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will book again in a heartbeat!

Nice, but noisy
The house was everything that we expected, however, the name and pictures suggested, at least in our minds, that it was a rural setting Never, ever expected that it was on the main Adirondacks HI way. I would not rebook even though the property itself was quite nice

Vraiment une belle maison propre, cuisine bien équipée,je recommande sans hésitation. Merci pour le beau séjour
Great home! Very comfortable, quiet, and clean. We came with our two dogs. Our friends and their three small children met us there. The home is very kid and dog friendly. There was ample space for everyone to run around outside and enjoy the property. Wonderful communication between the host (Nicole) regarding any questions/issues.
Lovely Adirondack retreat with everything you need
Jay House was perfect for our family vacation. The house was amazingly clean and well equipped with all the essentials. They provided anything you could think of, even the spice cabinet was fully stocked! The bedrooms were perfect and provided different options for people to choose from. For us with an infant, we could stay upstairs in the large bedroom with extra space for the travel bed. There was even a rocker in the room for putting the baby to sleep. The mattresses were so comfortable as well! The family room and dining room were great for the family to hang out. The kitchen was the perfect space for cooking all our meals. The backyard provided a great place for the dogs to hang out and is closed in on 3 sides. We spent a lot of time using the fire pit and hanging out on the porch. The host was also very easy to communicate with. The house is located close to everything - Keene, Whiteface and the start of many high peaks along with farms and grocery stores to get food. We can’t say enough nice things about our stay. We would definitely come back!
The house was great - lots of room for 5 of us to all spread out and relax. Well-equipped kitchen, and everything was very clean and neat. A bit of a hitch with checking in, as the cleaning crew ran into a problem and didn’t get done in time, but the owner kept us fully apprised of the situation with frequent updates, and check in was only delayed an hour, so not a big issue. Binder with helpful info on the area was a nice touch, and location is convenient to all the Olympic sites. A great spot for a family vacation.
Beautiful place, location, and communications with Nicole. We just had a wonderful stay at Jay House. Just the right location to be away from the busy stuff but a short drive to everything. The house is just the way the pictures show. It's clean and in great condition. The backyard is a nice area to sit in and take in the fresh air and relax. We used the porch every day for morning coffee and then evening chill time. And if for some reason you need to contact the host Nicole, she'll get back to you quickly and take care of any concern. We would stay here again.
