Feel like you are truly home away from home in our cozy house with the beautiful Appalachia mountains surrounding you. Enjoy the mountain views while walking down Main Street. As you embrace being in coal mining territory, enjoy a hot cup of locally roasted coffee at the Coal City Coffee Shop. While you're at the coffee shop take a peak into the 10,000 square foot Fun Center. Then make plans to take a walk by the beautiful lake just down the street from the coffee shop. Our home is only minutes from several hiking trails and waterfalls, community swimming pool (summer months), and Raven Rock Golf. Come relax and recharge as you experience the beautiful Appalachia mountains.

The property was very clean on the inside and the beds and bathrooms were abundant! The only true downside to the property is the parking and location to stores and restaurants, but if you are familiar with the area, like us, then you already know what to expect. We very much appreciated that there is a decent place to stay in that area of Kentucky!

College students/service trip

Fabulous set up for our group of 11, all down for volunteering at nearby free health clinic in VA. Bonus was learning about the Smile Faith Appalachia dental clinic next door. House 100% met our needs and hope to stay again when we return for annual service experience. Google maps brought us in through Joe Pass which was one lane road and not recommended. Stick to main roads and you’ll do better accessing the house. Hosts were excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything g we needed!

Better than expected.

The pictures do not do the house justice. It is larger than expected, very clean and had tons of space for my family plus some. The property manager was prompt to respond to messages and is extremely nice. I would definitely stay again if in the area.
