"Pros: Amazing views day and night , great indoor space, well provided kitchen. Spotlessly clean. Cons: We had a couple of issues: 1. Summer road closures meant we couldn’t walk down to the main square - needed to drive every time. Additional road closures meant it was a 15/20 mins drive not 5 mins. Nearest supermarket was unavailable due to road closures. 2. Main bathroom. After a warm shower bugs fell from gaps in the ceiling. Approx 30 - sent a message and pictures to concierge who told us...

"Paco is an incredible host! At first I was not sure if it was a hood place because there were not a lot of reviews, but I can tell you this is a really really great place. If you’re looking for an authentic “small Spain village” experience, this is by far the way to go!Keep in mind that Paco doesn’t speak English ( like everyone in this village ) so you have to practice your Spanish a little bit "

"Property was very nice. Cafeteria buffet for breakfast was good. Coffee was from instant machines and was terrible. Also disappointed that no bottled water was provided in the room. when I asked, the front desk told me the tap water in the room was fine. It was not, it was chlorinated. Tasted terrible. And getting ice delivered to the room was a €5 charge. Once you get past that, the overall experience is good."

"We chose the Granada Palace Hotel as it was in Monachil where we wanted to stay to visit family. On searching for a hotel this was the best one we found and was at a reasonable price. The hotel did not disappoint at all and was in a great location to visit family in Monachil and visit the sights of Granada. After being directed to our room we were amazed at how big it was, in all the trips we have been on (Carribbean/Thailand etc) this was one of the best rooms that we have stayed in, it was huge! We loved how big the bathroom was and all the space we had in the room to store our clothes and the little terrace where we could sit outside and take in the view of Monachil and the mountains. We were also given free bottles of water which was a lovely touch. We paid for breakfast and this was also lovely, a great choice of hot and cold food. On our last day we were leaving for the airport at 7am and we had a picnic made up for us to take. We also enjoyed a meal at the Italian restaurant next door and with it being our Anniversary they did their best to make it special for us with several free drinks. We sat by the pool area everyday, although the pool was a little too cold for me my husband braved it! It was nice to just sit on the sun loungers though. We also spent a couple of nights on the rooftop terrace, what an amazing view of Monachil! It really was a 5 star hotel and we loved every minute of our break, we will definately return!"

"Die Unterkunft ist für Gruppen einfach perfekt. Die Aussicht war spektakulär. Der Pool ist im Sommer schön erfrischend. Man kann im Haus spielen oder einfach nur die Ruhe in dem großen Anwesen genießen. Die Gastgeberin Sue ist wundervoll und kocht sogar auf Wunsch für die Gruppe. Sehr zu empfehlen"

"The hotel is a bit dated and could do with a renovation/ modernisation. Otherwise its clean and spacious. The beds were inconsistent in comfort. We were in the quadruple bed room and half the bed were so old it squeaked when you roll over in your sleep, and the mattress was so uncomfortable that I didn't get to sleep much all night."

"Our family of 4 (with children aged 17 and 14) really enjoyed our five nights at Finca los Llanos. The setting is great, on the edge of town, so easy to get into Capileira, which is really pretty and has lots of nice places to eat. We loved being up in the mountains with great views all around. It is also the perfect base to take the national park bus up to hike to the summit of Mulhacen, which was one of the highlights of our stay. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces of the hotel, particularly the pool and pool bar, where the staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms are fairly simple but nice especially as we wanted to spend most of our time outside anyway."
