Location was great, close to Old City and Garden Tomb. Would give 3.5 if possible - basically a good budget choice, meaning everything worked fine, beds were comfortable, water hot, but you get what you pay for. Nice clean room, basic bathroom needing a deep clean, kind helpful staff, simple breakfast.

The room was very dirty with dirty curtains that had boogers on them. The side tables weren’t cleaned, they had seeds on them as if someone was still staying in the room and the bathroom sink had toothpaste stains and it was moldy overall with water spilling out significantly when showering. The only redeeming qualities about this property were its location and helpful and kind staff. Im not sure why it’s rated so high, I would highly recommend Hashimi hotel instead.

There was an engagement party as we were checking in. About 300 men in the lobby and on the steps in front of the hotel. Smoking cigarettes and blasting music. At first I wasn’t sure that this is a hotel, looked like a local party venue. Huge Parking next to the place for extra charge. Good places to eat. The heat didn’t work and it was blowing cold air even when it was off. We had to use 2 blankets at night (February). It was fine for a short stay, would not recommend.

Personalen var otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Rummet städat och rent. Störde mig lite på att det kom in cigarettrök från andra rum in i mitt rum. Det drog ner betyget. Herod’s gate låg endast 5 minuters promenad, Damascus gate låg endast ca 7minuters promenad. Jesus tomb låg runt kvarteret. Vill du bo nära ” the old city ” så är detta hotell perfekt. Rekommenderas!

Great hotel. Highly recommend it. Location was fantastic and close to so many amenities. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. Food was so nice. Breakfast had a good selection of freshly cooked options. Dinner was so tasty with a good variety of choice. They had a really good chef. There was a hot and cold water dispenser which was so handy so you didn't have to keep buying bottled water. Highly recommend this hotel as this has been my second visit to it. So far so good and I would definitely come back and stay here again.

The Hotel New Capitol is a lovely hotel. Surrounded by shops just three minutes walk from Herod's Gate. Great for those who want to walk and explore the Old City of Jerusalem and its holy sites. All the staff are very professional, friendly and always willing to help. Thank you and I see you soon.

The staff were the most friendliest I have ever come across in Israel. I have been to Israel four times. The owner or the General Manager of the hotel went out of his way to help me with an issue with a taxi that I had hired.
