"House was located in lovely quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk from downtown Richard's Landing and marina. House is still under renovations and a mix of newly renovated and older cottage vibe. It suited our needs for a 3 day visit to the island. Host was exceptionally friendly and easy to work with."

"If you're looking for a place to stay that is the exact opposite of a Hampton Inn, this is the place for you! We stayed in Cottage 2, which looks like a shack from the outside but inside it was the sweetest little cottage. It made me so happy. The wood stove was ready to light. There was a precious cribbage board, inscribed on the back; recent novels in the book rack; and everything you need to be comfortable. It's tiny and there's a circle route from the door through the kitchen, to the living room, the bedroom and back. As I walked around the place, I just smiled. So homey! The lake is right outside, and the walk down to the lighthouse is a good walk. We saw zillions of warblers and other birds. The woman who runs the place was terrific. Everything was easy. No long list of "don't do this, don't do that" that typifies AirBnB stays. A great experience overall and the highlight of our road trip through Ontario."

"We were guests from August 17-24 2026.This is a beautiful property with full amenities. The view from the main living room overlooking the water is spectacular. We found the cottage to be very clean and it was stocked with ample linens and towels. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a great gas range that makes cooking so easy. For the rainy days there's an awesome games room.There is a fire pit with an ample wood supply to enjoy evening camp fires. There is also an outdoor wood-fired sauna but we did not have an opportunity to enjoy it. There are some weeds in the water near the shoreline but swimming off the end of the dock was fine.Kai was a pleasure to deal with. Check-in and out was a breeze.I would not hesitate to recommend this property to my friends and family."

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"

"Our family had a wonderful stay. The house was neat and clean and Gordon was extremely helpful and friendly. We also took or dog on a trip like this for the first time and she loved it. The dock was newer and we enjoyed the beautiful lake views from it while we were there. We definitely plan on staying there again on future trips to Echo Bay."
