"Location was excellent. 1/2 block up from main road with all restaurants, etc. Road is a dirt road which can be muddy. As anywhere in the area you did have to keep an eye on your surroundings with some of the people around."

"Great location walking out onto the beach front with dining, shopping & groceries in both directions. You are on the heart of the main street so everything in the area is walkable. I felt incredibly safe and we had the best beach views. The owner is lovely & friendly, speaking great English which was helpful! Room was a very generous size however we had a power outage both days (not the propertys fault, the entire street was out). Highly reccomend, very satisfied!! "

I was able to relax, and enjoyed my time. when I was in the mood for outing I will call a taxi, just make sure you have one handy or rent a car you will needed. "We stayed 6 weeks at West End Plantation Cottage. This was our first trip to Roatan. We don’t party so we wanted somewhere we could have peace and quiet but also wanted to be able to eat at restaurants or cook if we choose. "The building was a 3 story wooden structure. We stayed on the 3rd floor, unit #6. 1. There were no working smoke detectors. 2. No fire extinguishers. 3. No sprinkler system. 4. Only one exit from the 3rd floor, a set of stairs at the opposite end of the building. If a fire was in that area- you had no way out. The unit had everything for a comfortable stay."
