This was our first VRBO reservation and it was really pretty good. The photos well represented the interiors which were immaculately kept. The home’s location was close to the JTNP Visitor Center, the entrance to the park, and Sky High Pie for dinner. We enjoyed ourselves.
We visited for my daughter’s 14th birthday. She picked this house so that she and her cousin could stay in the casita. They were thrilled with that space and loved having their own hang out. The four adults and one small child in our group were very comfortable in the main house. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit every night! You really can’t go wrong with the location. Gorgeous vistas, right next to the playground and an awesome hiking trail. And of course, Joshua Tree NP just down the road! We had a wonderful visit and will return!!
Very good access to the park and rabbit, coyote, and bird viewing off the well appointed sunny deck. Could be a five star rating but there were a number of small things that could use improvement. The kitchen is short on silverware and larger sauté pans for cooking. The freezer needs attention and the lighting in the eating area is poor (we brought in a lamp from the garage). The casita needs a place to hang clothes or perhaps a dresser.
The house was good for our family but little problems & lack of some linens, made the stay less enjoyable. The exhaust fan in the main bathroom did not work & the sink in the same bathroom did not drain well. The exhaust fan on the stove, did not work, either. Only one washcloth was found in the main house. The curtains in the bedroom are very light weight, so thin, that the morning light lit up the rooms. The casita had a double bed top sheet, on a queen size bed…it was too small! Only one wash cloth in that bathroom, too. A blanket folded on the casita’s bed was dirty. A nice house but not maintained very well.
My family and I had a wonderful stay here! Very clean inside and out, quiet neighborhood and spacious rooms. Conveniently close to Joshua tree national park entrance! I appreciated that communication was always there from the owners.
Great place and we really enjoyed it. A couple of little things were that we couldn't open the casita door from the porch which would have been nice and the water tasty fishy.
This was a great place to come and have our small wedding. The kids loved the hot tub, it felt clean, homey and comfortable and had everythingb we needed. It felt like staying at a family home and not like a rental. Definitely will be back! 😊
We enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole, exploring around the neighborhood park, Desert Hot Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. TV setup and cooking supplies were not great and bbq and fire pit did not work. Beds were comfortable! Overall a great time!

Magical Joshua Tree Home
Overall we loved the experience and the house. Best feature was the Great Room with big windows and sweeping views. Beds in the main house was comfortable and kitchen was reasonably well stocked. Cleanliness issues mostly on outside (gross dirty porch where you arrive, not inviting) but inside was very clean. Our biggest issue was the separate “casita” was totally oversold. A room off the garage with uncomfortable bed and pillows - no dresser or closet for clothes - and very small. Super disappointed. Also the check in instructions were wrong and we couldn’t get into that space. We finally figured out you had to go through the garage and another door but while we had the property manager on the phone they told us we weren’t allowed to go through the garage in a tone like we were doing something wrong? She said they would fix the instructions but we didn’t appreciate being scolded for trying to get into the casita. They were very responsive when the BBQ wouldn’t light and rushed over with a long handled lighter since there were no matches on premises. Also a few other maintenance items like burned out light bulbs. We loved the electric gate and so much room for parking. The hot tub was fantastic and worked great. Again overall we love Joshua Tree and the vibe but this was one of those houses they marketed and took pictures to make it look slightly better than it actually is. They do mention the lack of privavxy on one side with an RV by the fence and nosy neighbors. Our two dogs loved it and the fence around the property was perfect!
If it sleeps 8 why are there only 5 chairs to sit in? Mildew in casita shower and crumbs in most kitchen drawers made things just Ok especially given the price.
My friends and I had an amazing time. This house is close to the entrance to the park and very easy to get to palm springs. The place was clean, hot tub was amazing and the kitchen was well equipped for basic cooking needs. The check in and check out process was very smooth. Would highly recommend staying here!
A couple coworkers and I had two days off for Fourth of July and booked this location for a short getaway. It was such a perfect location and had everything we needed to relax for a few days. Great space for a small group and absolutely gorgeous at night. The pictures we got of the stars and desert were amazing.
Loved staying at this property. The check-in and check-out processes were handled very professionally. The house has everything we need, and its location is perfect.
Lovely Weekend Getaway, Terrible Phone Customer Service
We had a wonderful time here! 6 adults, 2 kids, and a dog had plenty of space and loved and enjoyed all the amenities of the property. We got in just fine and really liked using the online guide. Best part was seeing the sky light up at night from the hammock and venturing out on the little walk just outside the fence. We heard coyotes and saw lots of quail and jackrabbits - really peaceful.
My one complaint is regarding the bathroom power not working in the casita. I figured since it was an urgent matter calling would be easier than emailing, but the person who answered the phone did not seem to want to help. I said I was on one of their properties and needed assistance with the electricity not working. They replied, with a sigh, "I don't know which property you're staying at. What's the name of the property?" I replied with the address of the property since I didn't know the "name" offhand, and they responded, with a larger sigh, "That's not the name." I paused and then found the "name" finally - normally I would shrug this interaction off. But then when I explained the issue, I was asked if there was a man in the group with me who could help me find the electrical panel. It was one of the most unprofessional things anyone has said to me as a customer. I worked in customer service for almost a decade and have dealt with some frustrating humans and know it's a tough job, but I had a legitimate issue. Asking me to find a man to help me is not a helpful statement. There was no apology offered when I called this statement out. Eventually a handyman was sent out, and the handyman was very sweet and helpful. We received an email as well to further assist with the issue, and although the power still did not work when we checked out, they were able to offer alternatives. So, the issue did get worked out and we were ultimately very happy with the trip.
It was unfortunate that I thought calling on the phone would help. I sincerely hope the person who answered my call understands that the comment made me feel foolish and embarrassed, which is not the vibe I'm looking for on vacation!
Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat. But if there's an issue with anything, I'd send an email first.
This was the perfect house to stay in to explore Joshua Tree National Park. The park entrance was very convenient to the house. The house itself was lovely. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra bedding. There were lots of towels for both the bathroom and the outdoor hot-tub. The hot-tub was perfect after a day of hiking in Joshua Tree. The kitchen was well stocked and had pantry staples provided (coffee, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, dish soap, sponge, etc.). The house was very clean and check-in and check-out was easy and clearly explained. The views from the house were so beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife (birds, rabbits and even coyote!) right from the back windows.
We were five retired single gal-pals and one couple. The house was perfect and we would certainly rent it again. We loved the propane firepit, the hot tub, the nature trail right out the back gate and the opportunity to star gaze. The beds were exceptionally comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked for a vacation rental, but it needs to improve its selection of pots and pans to support larger groups like ours. We loved that the VRBO rental agency was extremely responsive and well organized; we would definitely rent from this same agency again! We also loved the fact that everything about the house (information, rules, instructions, suggestions) was available to all members of our group via an online app which we downloaded to our cell phones. In all this home made for an excellent experience.
