The hotel provides a truly beautiful experience. You can completely disconnect from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with nature and your partner. The peaceful surroundings, the sounds of nature, and the overall atmosphere make it the perfect place to relax and recharge.
For those of us with children, however, it can be a little nerve-wracking because there is virtually no cell phone signal. While the opportunity to disconnect is part of the charm, having more reliable Wi-Fi would provide extra peace of mind for parents who may need to stay reachable in case of an emergency.
Overall, it is a wonderful getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy quality time surrounded by nature.
This stay was one of a kind, the feel and tranquility of this place is something to experience when you visit El Salvador, but bring some bug repellent with you! Room service was amazing and friendly. Water pressure in the shower needs to be fixed would be my only complaint. Also not much visibility looking out from the globe through the not so clear panels. Overall definitely worth a stay!
Kafen Hotel was a really nice and relaxing stay on a well maintained and landscaped property. The room I stayed in the largest of their Bubble rooms and enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The only thing I disliked was all of the hair I found all over the room. As many have stated there is no hot water but I managed. Overall I had a great experience and there was a nice amount of things to do in the area.

Underwhelming Stay
I really wanted to enjoy my stay, but a few things fell short. The road to the hotel badly needs maintenance—it’s nearly impossible without a 4x4. Food options were limited, and my steak arrived nearly raw despite ordering medium. The room amenities were sparse for the price point, which felt disappointing. That said, the staff was very friendly, and the waterfall tour was a highlight.

The access road to the location is in poor condition, there is no food room service, just drinks which makes for a poor experience; they offer valet parking since the lot isn't on-site, the staff is very friendly, the food is excellent, though not very affordable and the rooms are clean.
My best friend and I came here for a girls’ getaway. The views and property are absolutely beautiful, but the overall experience was disappointing.
The biggest issue was the lack of transparency. After an international flight and a two-hour drive, we had no cell service when we checked in. We were asked to sign a document that we couldn’t translate because our phones weren’t working. We were told it only covered the $40 deposit and Wi-Fi. Later, we discovered it also disclosed there was no hot water inside our tent.
We visited during the rainy season, so the only hot water was in the outdoor tub, which meant going outside in the rain and thunderstorms just to bathe. I understand this is glamping, but this should have been clearly disclosed before booking. The resort said they notified us, but the message was sent while we were already on our flight. Had we known, we would have booked only two nights instead of five. We ended up leaving early, but because of the document we unknowingly signed, we weren’t eligible for a refund.
The property has a lot of potential, but the customer service felt cold at times, and communication needs to be much clearer. Also, arrange transportation ahead of time, we had multiple drivers cancel on us. Beautiful place, but I wouldn’t stay again.
