Outstanding property. Beautifully landscaped and absolutely clean. Very friendly, warm and proud staff everywhere, from Don José (Don Chucho) in the kitchen/dining area, David our waiter for most of our stay, and Miss Sol at the front desk. Thank you all for making this an unforgettable trip!

Lovely 2 days at Hostal de la Luz. Room was large with private balcony with a view and a hammock. Food in the restaurant is delicious, make sure to try the fish or shrimp tacos for lunch. Expect dogs barking and roosters crowing at dawn, but then again, you are in the mountains of Mexico in a rural area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all a very dreamy place. Maybe it was the shakra cleansing bath ( which turned out to be quite lovely not hokey as you might think, even for a...

They have free shuttle to the airport 24/7, that leaves every 30 min. Check/in and check/out was easy. My only suggestion is to add a coffee service in the lobby for those who wait for the shuttle early morning. I would take that over the mini bottle of wine we received as a welcome gift.
