"Basic hotel which is what I was looking for. Breakfast is simple, waffles, yogurt, breads, juices, coffee. It was perfect for my needs. Hotel was nice and quiet at night, very comfortable beds and pillows!"

"What an absolute treasure! I lucked out in finding this gem as we were traveling through the area. My son and I stayed one night while on a road trip, and loved it so much that we are plotting a trip back to Cedar Falls just so we can stay at the Black Hawk again! The rooms were incredibly spacious, the bed was comfortable and I got a great night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary drinks from the bar while dining on some takeout in the picturesque lobby. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!"

"This sweet little getaway spot was everything I needed for a 2-day conference nearby. It sports rustic charm and peace and quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed for my first night’s meal (subsequent meals were had away from property). The host offered a variety of snacks, drinks, or even frozen burritos or pizza for purchase by Venmo. The bathroom was clean and the shower had a built in seat. There were also lovely items available in both the shower and bathroom caddy. I didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked lovely. There is also a smart tv with streaming available and an in-unit air conditioner with remote that kept it nice and cool (and I’m super picky about it being pretty cool). The dogs were also lovely—I asked to meet them and they were all friendly and sweet. I had no issues during my stay but if I had, I know without question that the host would’ve helped resolve it immediately."
