"Our third time staying at this cabin and just as wonderful an experience as the first couple times, we really enjoyed spending time in the covered front deck watching birds for hours. It was a great location to visit ample outdoor areas and still visit some great restaurants in nearby communities. We stayed here while running the San Diego 100m and it’s a fanatic location very close to the start/finish line and easy drive to aid stations. Love this location and highly recommend!"

"The lodge was perfect for my motorcycle trip to Julian. Perfect place to wind down after a long day of riding in the area. If you are not a social person it might not be the place for you, because all common areas are to be shared. (Living room, kitchen, deck). But if you are passing through and wand a place with incredible views, peace, quiet and good coffee in the morning, this place is great. Hickers, Moto Riders, Cyclists. Feels like the right vibe."

"Great little rustic cabin in a quiet neighborhood for a quick get away with our dog. Larry had note cards all around to help you find/use the various items. It did take us a moment to find the antler light switch on the opposite side of the wall. What do you expect...1960s build. I liked how there's a lot of the original items from the 60s. Lots of windows for woodies views. We would have spent more time on the large deck and hammock, but it was super windy. Our dog loved the large wooded backyard...had zoomies multiple times and wanted to retrieve the horseshoes we were tossing. There's lots of games: indoor and outdoor. The driveway is steep and found it easiest to back up the drive with our large SUV. Watch out for the low clearance carport parking with larger vehicles. Great place to stay! Looking forward to returning with our dog again...hopefully it won't be so windy. Larry was very responsive with communication. Got one turkey walking across the driveway one morning. Thanks again...till next time."
