Kaanapali Alii #451 Featuring Ocean & Mountain Views

Ocean and West Maui Mountain views can be enjoyed from this luxurious 5th floor condo. This 2-bedroom vacation home is located in one of the most desired upscale resort locations in Hawaii. The Alii is maintained like a hotel, with an Activities Desk, 24-hour front desk, tennis courts, swimming pool and activities concierge, yet all the conveniences of a fully-equipped condominium. There is a wonderful BBQ area right next to the pool for outdoor cooking and dining.
Our condo has an open plan design, the front entrance has 2 small steps, opening up from the hall entrance to the main living space, taking full advantage of the views as it is surrounded by large open windows. The dining room has a large family sized table with seating for a party of 6. There is also a kitchen island bar, next to the dining room.
Our condo features over 1500 square feet of smoke free living space, including two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and showers, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a living room complete with LCD TV and DVD. The “Lanai” (balcony) offers views of the Ocean, and West Maui Mountains.

Family and friends traveling together will enjoy the many options of a master bedroom with two full beds, a comfortable second bedroom, plus an additional sleeping room with a full bed. Both bathroom offers a walk in showers. There is also a laundry area with a full size washer & Dryer.

There is a wonderful BBQ area right next to the pool for outdoor cooking and dining. recently updated pool and barbeque area and the 3000 square foot state of the art fitness center is a welcome addition.

The Alii is walking distance to several hotels, & restaurants offering dining options Whalers Village with shops and restaurants is also a short walk away. Black Rock is walking distance and offers excellent snorkeling.

This property is great! Wonderful location. Accessibility to the beach is fantastic and the unit is well stocked....HOWEVER...I should have paid better attention to the reviews about the maintenance of the unit. The unit needs some minor things repaired which the repairs are all unfinished. Both towel racks in each bathroom, TV in the master still not connected etc..The balcony was filthy ,needs a good power washing and bird poop cleaned up. The toilet was broken in the master. I called the front desk, they unfortunately couldn't help (since it was a private owner) however they knew about the broken toilet. I immediately called David the local contact, he never returned the call. I messaged Kevin the owner, his response was allright, he said he would get a plummer out. He never followed up , so we had no idea when it was fixed. There was a water main broken in our building, I messaged the owner and he never replied about it,

This particular unit has a breathtaking view of the mountains AND the beach. Lovely real estate, walking distance to Whalers Village for shopping, delicious dinner at Monkeypod restaurant, coffee in the morning. Amenities are fabulous. The unit is close to the elevator. My parents who are seniors enjoyed the stay. Parking is easy in a deck, but you can pick up and drop off at the front door of the building. We loved the area and it is slightly recessed to give privacy. Westin and Sheraton luau are within minutes. All staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommend for families who want close walk to pool, beach, shopping and dining as this location is ideal.

Amazing location with spectacular views
We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one was pretty typical of most of our rentals. First some positives about the property: The location is perfect!, The resort itself is very nice (pool, staff, cleanliness, safe), The views from condo deck/balcony are amazing (both inland mountain and beach), The beds are very comfortable, The A/C is spectacular and kept the condo very comfortable, The kitchen is nice and the appliances all worked well, There was enough sleeping space, although the one "extra" sleeping area was a bit unusual in design as the people in the second bedroom walked through the sleeping area to get to the main bathroom. Now a few negatives: The property is not managed by the Aali Resort itself, so if you need extra TP/garbage bags, etc. they cannot help you, There was only about 4 rolls of toilet paper provided at the beginning of our week, and for multiple people using 2 bathrooms, it wasn't a lot. I contacted the property manager and eventually got some extra rolls, We also had to contact the property manager for extra garbage bags. So although the condo is nice, it wasn't supplied well for a weeks stay with multiple people. The property manager offered to Venmo me if I had to buy extra supplies. The property, although comfortable was a bit worn, stains on furniture, worn patio furniture, torn screen door on patio, etc. which is not unusual for a rental property, I understand that. Next time I may consider a property managed by the resort.

Great property! The “master” is in 2 sections. One has 2 beds and another section is separated with another bed. Those 3 areas are connected to the master bath. The other sleeping area has one bed connected to a private bath in the room. (I didn’t quite understand that when booking, but it was fine for us!) overall great property and would stay again for sure! Views are great!

Sadly, we did not have a good experience with this owner. We checked in at 5:30pm (4pm is check-in). When we walked in, we were horrified.The room was a mess of trash, alcohol, dishes, and dirty bedding. Even the bellhop was shocked. When we finally reached the owner, he acted annoyed with us for bugging him. He blamed his on-island contact and wasn’t apologetic or even empathetic that we were standing in the hallway with luggage, groceries, 2 little kids and 2 elderly grandparents in tow. He wasn’t sure when someone would be there to clean or how long it would take them. He couldn’t give us a time and told us just to keep checking back. I asked him if he could call to let us know when ready and he *reluctantly* agreed but was clearly annoyed with being asked. Finally at 9:35pm, 5.5hrs after check-in time, he sent a text. “Hi Alii 451 condo, just talked to my cleaner and they are done.” No phone call, no apology. He was rude. We requested a refund for that first night since we couldn’t get in. He agreed but it felt like he just wanted us to stop bugging him. If he had been at all apologetic on the phone or even just a bit nicer, we could have laughed about it. As for the unit, it has a nice view. There is some maintenance (light bulbs out, loose towel rack, screen door, etc.) but these things on their own are no big deal. The property is nice and the beach is close. I would caution you from renting from this owner and suggest you rent from someone else at the property.

Staff was Excellant,location was excellant. Unit issues-tv's did not work in all rooms all remotes were missing batteries and covers took 3 days to fix. I was on the phone with the vendor for an hour , they told me the TV box in master needed to be relaced. They never came to replace it. These items should have been taken care of prior to anyone leasing. Had only 1 extra blanket for 3 bedrooms would have been nice to have one for each bedroom. On a good note we loved our stay and would come back in the future, the staff was amazing! I would recommend to stay here anytime.

The condo is very nice. My only problem with it was the lack of cleanliness. There is mold on the vents and it made me break out in hives every morning. The Other problem is that you cannot get any help from the front desk for anything. We have stayed on this property in Maui over the past 10 years and this is the only condo where I have encountered this! I will only stay in units that have a relationship with the front desk in The future. Anyone coming here spends way too much money to not have the ability to receive help when needed!

We spent 4 days here in Kaanapali. Location is fantastic. Beautiful beach short walks to great food and shopping. Unit is spacious for a family beach get away and well equipped. Views from outside porch are spectacular. Thankful we spent our vacation here.

This property is absolutely perfect. There is nothing else this property needs. It is perfectly located so close to whalers village and black rock. The unit is just as listed and is very clean and tidy. The view of the ocean and mountains in stunning and the pictures don't do it justice. The only hiccup was the router broke while we stayed there and while we were rarely inside, when we were, the kids couldn't watch their Netflix which wasn't a big deal. Just a heads up for Maui Dad! I sent him a message but never received a return message. Again, not a big deal! Just a heads up for Kevin to be aware before the next group stays here! Overall it is. 5 out of 5!!!! Would stay here every single time!!!!

No Beach
A storm in June 2022 removed the beach to the property. We were not aware of this until we arrived. The pool was nice and the condo was nice- great location and bedroom arrangement in condo accommodated all 7 of us- but a vacation in Hawaii with no beach? We should have been told.
