Great location

If you are wanting to be centrally located for activities on the north shore this is a great place. Easy walking distance to the Turtle Bay Ritz and beaches and centrally located to hit the north shore or to explore east to the PCC or other attractions. Condo is well furnished and has a nice screened in porch. Nothing too fancy but a very comfortable bed and great place to crash after a full days activities.

Overall a nice place to stay. Unit had everything we needed. Could use some updates, as refrigerator and oven are very old, but both in working condition. A small TV in the bedroom would be nice. Pool was just across the parking lot and never crowded. We enjoyed our 4 days here.

Loved the location

We loved the location....we did not spend a lot of time in the condo. Mainly just to sleep. The condo is a great place. Needs a little upkeep though. You can tell that it is an older condo. Needs a fresh coat of everything. But I would not hesitate to stay here again. My wife was a little upset at the fact that we saw a couple cockroaches in the kitchen!!! I told her thats what the geckos eat and not to worry!!

Property had roaches and ants!

We should have realized we had a problem when we walked into the property and it had Roach Hotels and Ant traps everywhere! I opened the dishwasher and it had at least 20 roaches crawling in it. I touched the dishwasher handle and out crawled a big roach. There were roaches in the utensils drawer, silverware drawer, bathroom and who knows where else. We did not have much food, but what we did have we kept in the refrigerator so it would not attract bugs. We emailed and texted the owner twice and asked her to send a professional company to spray the property. We never heard from her! The complex is pretty though older. In addition we were there during a heat wave 90-100 degrees with 71% humidity. The Tradewinds had stopped. Not the fault of the owner, however, there is only one small, old, original wall air conditioner in the bedroom that had obviously not been serviced in years and was not working well. We could not get the interior below 89 degrees. Absolutely miserable! The property has not been renovated. It has newer carpet and drapes. The kitchen has not been renovated; original dishwasher, countertops, stove, refrigerator, windows. Bathroom tub has been refaced everything else is original. In addition there is no vacuum or mop to clean the floors. North Shore however is beautiful. The Ocean was lovely. We found coves where we were the only swimmers. Food was excellent. If you come to North Shore, stay in the Turtle Bay Resort. If you go in October you get unlimited golf for free. It is beautiful and well worth the price, unless you like Roaches!

RUN DOWN-dust and mold

The condo is superficially clean, when you first walk in it looks great. And the directions we were given to get in were easy to follow and check-in went smoothly. Within 10-15 minutes, you notice huge dust bunnies all over the ceiling and tops of the drapes (particularly in the bedroom). You are told to use the AC unit sparingly and instead open the windows. That works OK when it is not super windy (which it was, unfortunately, causing doors to slam when we tried to circulate air) and not at night (not safe to have a screen door open all night with a teen daughter in the other room and the master being right next to the parking lot). If we did use the AC unit, it started leaking all over the floor within 20-30 minutes. The fans in the bedroom are both very weak and provided very little cool air. The fans in the family room were much better. The kitchen was very well stocked which was great. However, the fridge/freezer is growing black mold in a few spots (they have attempted to paint over it). And the area between the oven and the fridge is flat-out gross. It needs a very good cleaning which would not be difficult, just pull the fridge out and clean. They have gotten new furniture since they took pictures. The fold-out couch is extremely uncomfortable, you can feel the springs through the mattress. Our daughter opted to sleep on the floor. They have a beautiful wood floor, but it was not put in well and has massive gaps between the planks in many spots. They have not taken the time to recenter any of the pictures since getting new furniture, so it just looks unkempt and sloppy. This condo needs so major TLC. It is in a great location and has potential, it is just not taken care of well enough to actually provide a comfortable place to stay after a long day of activities, especially when it is hard to cool the place down. We had friends staying in two other condos in the same development, and their condos were immaculate and the AC worked great. Hopefully the owners will spend some serious time deep cleaning this place and making it more comfortable We have stayed in VRBOs all over the US and this place was one of the most uncomfortable and run-down condos we have stayed in unfortunately. (We did not attempt to contact the property manager during our stay but we also had no contact which is surprising, typically when we rent a condo they check in with us after a day or two, which I think is excellent customer service!)

Exactly what we needed!

We had everything we needed and more for our stay on the North Shore. The location was the best part- a short walk from Turtle Bay and Kuilima Cove (great snorkeling) and a short drive from Shark’s cove, a grocery store, and lots of places to eat.

Great place on the North Shore

Had a great stay at this turtle bay condo! Had everything we needed! Loved being able to cook breakfast and do laundry! Everything is exactly how it’s listed and Dorothy, the owner, was very accommodating and would respond quickly to any questions! Loved that there was beach towels and snorkel gear provided! Would totally stay again!

Great condo!!

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was perfect for our family. Walking distance to turtle bay beach and we ate dinners at Lei Leis on the golf course. We will stay here again next year :)

Cute condo in Kawela Bay

Loved the location on North Shore Oahu. It is right off Kamehameha Hwy so easy to get to an out of for adventuring. Our first impression was that it was clean and well stocked with kitchen stuff to cook and eat meals. Loved eating breakfast on the screened in porch and watching the sunrise. There were a few quirks but we notified the host. And it wasn't Anything that truly affected our experience.

Beautiful view of the golf course

The condo is nice. No frills but good value for the price. The condo is conveniently located for North Shore activities. We had wonderful walks on the shoreline to the right and left of the resort. We even saw two juvenile monk seals ( from a safe distance) laying on the sand.

Nice spot near North Shore attractions

Overall it was fine. Our only complaint was that the Kuilima pools are too deep for our children (3 and 1) and we didn't have access to the hotel pools which would have been great for the kids. The condo was well equipped in the kitchen and with beach toys, chairs, eyc.

Extremely Disappointed

My husband and I stayed at this condo last week and were extremely disappointed in the overall condition and cleanliness of the unit. I assure you it looks nothing like the photos shown above. The unit was sorely in need of professional cleaning, painting and basic maintenance. This included dirty walls, doors, drawers, cobwebs with spiders, rusty hardware, lamps that haven't been dusted/cleaned in a long time, amateur dry wall patching, dingy sofa, and unfinished molding as examples. My advice is to find another place with a different company.

Great stay

Enjoyed the quiet beauty of the North Shore. The rental was clean and well stocked. Spent most of the time out and about, so I can’t speak about the amenities surrounding the rental.
