Beach Front Condo (Ocean View), Best Snorkeling/Surfing.

This lovely, spacious condo at Kahalu'u Beach (Turtle Beach) has Ocean and Sunset views, and is the perfect escape for guests wanting easy access to swimming, snorkeling, surfing, paddle boarding and golfing. Ours is an unit on the ground floor in the back with views of the ocean and coastline (no stairs and away from street noise).

Our complex, the Beach Villas, is the newest development in Kailua-Kona and offers off-street parking, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a cozy lava rock spa, a gas barbecue and a large picnic area with tables, chairs and lounge chairs for family gatherings. The Keikei area of the Infinity Pool is great for kids to play in or simply for all to sit and sunbathe in the shallow water.

Kahalu'u Beach Park across the street is well protected by sea walls, and provides for gentle swimming and a tide pool for kids. Sea turtles and colorful fish of various species are so plentiful making this spot the snorkeling paradise in the Big Island. Immediately to the north past the swimming/snorkeling are the rolling surfs where surf boards may be rented. Guests may use the boogie boards stocked in our unit, saving the trouble of renting boards. Cooler, umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gears and sand toys are all available to guests without extra charges. However, to assure better fits, guests may bring their own gears.

Golfing in the Kona Country Club is only 1/2 mile down the road. Its 4 star Ocean Course offers a spectacular setting of lush, wide fairways, and the sparkling Pacific at one's feet. Its 4-1/2 star Mountain Course overlooking the ocean offers a more challenging terrain with Ancient Hawaiian rock slides running through the center. Its Vista Restaurant has a spectacular view and serves customers breakfast and lunch.

Shopping and restaurants (including the famous Sam Choy's Kai Lanai) are all within a short walking distance, making our condo a comfortable home away from home for guests.

Our condo also offers a full cooking kitchen. Costco is a convenient stop on the way from the airport where guests may stock up for groceries.

Fantastic location

The condo is right across the street from the beach, great snorkeling there. Pretty ocean view. Lots of parking. Nice pool and hot tub. Would stay there again.

Great Place to Stay

We were very happy to find this unit as it was across the street from the beach park we love to go to. Both bedrooms and kitchen were exactly as shown and explained in the details on their VRBO add.

Great Snorkel Location

We stayed for the second time in this complex. The location is great just walk two minutes to great snorkeling on a lovely beach. Accommodations were great with a very comfortable 2 bedroom condo. It was fully supplied with cooking implements beach towels and comfy beds. We will return!

Great for the week

Lots of room for our family. We loved that the second room had twin beds. The location is peaceful and convenient to get around the island. There is a great view from the porch. Check in and out was super easy and the communication was great overall.

Comfortable and private

We loved out stay here. Great view from Lanai, enjoyed the snorkeling at the beach just steps away. Great farmer's market in the shopping center. We enjoyed having the grill for our dinners and use of the beach things.

Awesome view

We loved the property. Should we visit Kona again I would definitely seek out this property again. Lawerence was great at communicating and answering all questions and providing local information for shopping and dining. I highly recommend this location.

Amazing

We had an incredible stay. The condo had absolutely everything we needed, comfortable and cozy. The snorkeling directly across the street was the best! Water was crystal clear, lots of turtles.After visiting other beaches nearby the kids always wanted to come back to “our beach” We will definitely be back.

Nice condo

Big Island Escape

The property was how it was described on the VRBO. It was close to great snorkeling and it was great to have some beach equipment supplied by the host. Only disappointment was that during our stay the pool was closed for maintenance, which also meant the bbq’s were off limits.

Return to the Bug Island with the next generation

We had a wonderful stay at our condo. They did a great job equipping the unit with everything you would want for cooking and outdoor activities. We requested additional boogie boards and they were delivered right away. Keyless entry was ideal for all of us coming and going. We made great use of the pool and hot tub and lived watching the sunsets from our patio.

Great condo in a fantastic location

This was our first time to the Big Island, and we were fortunate enough to stay at this condo. Beach access is truly just across the street, and the condo complex also has a pool and hot tub. The nearby shopping center was so convenient, and we found the location great in terms of visiting spots north up the coast as well as driving around south to Volcano National Park and Hilo. The property itself naturally split into two sets of bedrooms and bathrooms, which was great for our kids. All the appliances worked well, and it was nice to hear from the property manager that they could make use of the (inevitable) extra food stuffs we had to leave behind. We hope to be back soon!

Good location, a few issues

The condo was in a nice building and in a nice area. It is located across the street from a beach park that is great for snorkeling but not a sandy beach/for kids swimming. The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean. unfortunately there was an ant/bug issue while we were there. They did spray some raid and a company was coming in to spray, it just made it difficult for us to use the kitchen and cook. there were pool noodles, life jackets, a cooler and snorkel stuff which was helpful. there were also pool and beach towels.

Great Location

I travel to Kona a few times a year, and the location of this condo is excellent. Overall, the condo is great. There are a few things that would have made it out of this world. The first one is a full-sized coffee maker. The 4-cup coffee maker was not enough for my husband and myself. We would have to make two pots at least every morning, which is not the best way to start our day. We are serious coffee people. We cooked most of our meals at the condo and found that the kitchen could be better stocked. One tiny sauce pan isn't enough for me. It is also time for a deep clean. Even with the inconveniences I had, I would stay there again.

Great location but . . .

The location of this unit is great; however, the unit is not very clean, the kitchen equipment is random and not in good shape. The coffee maker is a 5 cup! You couldn’t open a bag with the scissors if your life depended on it. The ants all over the kitchen were not a pleasant experience. The property owner and manager were responsive (after I sent a video) and brought in an exterminator, but it didn’t work. Did not like finding out that we were the third set of guests that were dealing with the ants. Made cooking in the unit difficult. The pool is very pretty but too cold to enjoy, especially with an 11 month old. We are Canadian and don’t mind some cold, but the ocean is markedly warmer than this complex’s pool. The hot tub was nice.

Wonderful Kona stay

My husband and I had a seamless stay at this beachview condo with my mother and her sister - for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration. Communication with the owner was perfect, and the condo setup was ideal for our needs. My aunt has mobility issues but still was able to walk to and from the beach by herself. We all enjoyed plentiful hours relaxing on the peaceful lanai. All beds were super comfy. The kitchen was exceptionally stocked - and it seemed like the owners knew the perfect amount of items such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap and towels to supply us with for the four of us for a week. This location is on the busy Ali’i road, which made getting to many sites and stores super easy with our rental car. My mom even walked to a KTA grocery one day! My husband rented a surfboard just steps away and enjoyed a good surf spot right across the street. The beach also has guards and free reef-safe sunscreen during the day. Snorkeling at this beach was fun too. This location was also great for many excursions that we took advantage of. The owner is there for questions but lets you enjoy your vacation without getting involved unless you need him. Extremely convenient keyless entry system. Mahalo, Lawrence!

The rental was perfect for my friends and I. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary amenities. The door key code was challenging so we just used the key. Response was quick and helpful. Mornings on the lanai with coffee was a wonderful way to start the day. Some of us started our days at the beach watching the sunrise. The unit was comfortable and clean. The extras were useful- chairs, beach towels, etc. I woupd definitely stay there again.

Amazing Place to Stay!

We went mid-November and the weather was perfect. We cooked on site most days and went to the beach across the street. Everything was great and the host was so responsive! We would definitely stay again. Thank you for making our trip perfect!
